The Windows Phone is not fast, the home screen is just optimized to view everything with live updates.

If it were a contest of who can remove the battery faster, all my money is on Android.

if winphone can give me google voice i would get one. however i feel that i would win most of these challenges on my rooted Rezound. I can customize my phone to match the specific settings to be on an even level. widgets do amazing things, and weather on an HTC is fast and easy to access. another variable...am i using 4g LTE or do i have to use 3g? there are some apples to oranges comparisons here, even tho I like the interface of the Windows phones

update just went in the windows store at houston galleria and it is not for any smartphone my nokia n95 did not qualify and also it has to be a carrier device no unlocked phones allowed or at least thats what they told me and they were very rude and unprofessional about the whole situation trying to tell me that my phone was not a smartphone just because at&t did not ever carry it whatever microsoft you suck

I need to look up the rules of this challenge. Any smartphone? Active on a carrier? Unlocked? Age? I've got an old Droid Eris that still works, although off contract. So I can just take this in to them, lose, collect my new free Windows Phone, and tell them they can keep my old phone? Thanks for the freebie and for recycling my old crap Microsoft! :-D

I got one this morning, I saw other people getting some too in the Microsoft store in Scottsdale, I brought in my old Motorola Backflip (which lost of course) and they gave me a Titan, it was a painless process and I love the phone... and you get to keep your upgrade eligibility! Windows Phone FTW!

Meh, WP7 is all fancy and smooth with animations, but when it comes to customisations, it's almost as bad as iOS, you can't change the wallpaper (At least, I couldn't find the option to anyway), tiles are basically widgets with less personality. In terms of apps, it's worst than Android. It's like the worst of both worlds here. And the challenges given like post to all social sites, most OEM skins should have their own stock app that does that (e.g. Social Hub for Touchwiz). I could easily beat these challenges if I placed my apps and widgets specifically to beat it (Apps like Places and Social Hub and widgets like Soundhound, Weather), but that would just be a huge mess on my homescreen.

I have a windows phone and a android tablet. I use mu phone to chech emails and keep up with social media on the go which it excels at and everything else I need I have my tablet. I think Microsoft can catch up with the rest of the other os out there but I think it would take away from the reason people who like the phones in the first place. Its a simple os that does what you want it to do keep you up on your friends and social life and do it as fast as you want it to.
