Works great for me. A couple things wrong with it though. For one, it drops video calls when moving from wifi to 3G. This was unexptected since regular voicecalls don't get dropped when switching. The other thing I dont like was that by default it is set to receive a stream but has both cameras off. I had to tap a button and then turn on the camera I want. And I seem no way to change this.

After a few video calls with a couple people I've decided I like Tango the best. Yahoo IM is just as good as skype and fring isn't bad either. But Tango is so far the best FaceTime alternative.

don't take it bad but ill explain the possible reason for a drop on the video call when using Skype and not on regular calls.

to make regular calls the phone always uses it mobile GSM bands all the times to connect to the network, now Skype uses your mobile data service to connect, now on most devices one connection is active and the other is "sleep" for example when wifi is on then 3G goes to rest. now there is a point when switching from wifi to 3G that actually there is none (really small point) now some apps can continue to work because they have some sort if buffer, it is possible that Skype has not implemented a proper buffer maybe because they though users may want to use either or the other and no switching...

also wanted to ask.

have you tried using Skype video chat with someone on a PC or will only work with mobile phones?
