Sketch reveals the exact dimensions of the Pixel 3 XL's notch & chin
After two leaks yesterday revealed the first live images of Google’s next flagship, a new sketch courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer has now confirmed the exact dimensions of perhaps two of its most controversial design features, the display notch and chin.

In exact dimensions, the display notch on the Pixel 3 XL is 23.8mm wide and measures 8.1mm in depth, making it one of the deeper cutouts on the market due to the extremely thin bezels that are present elsewhere on the device. Nevertheless, the notch certainly isn’t the largest one out there, with both the iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi 8 sporting much larger ones. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Google has likely increased the width of the notch slightly in order to accommodate the second selfie camera that was spotted in yesterday’s images. Moving away from the notch, the sketch in question also notes that the bottom chin sits at 8.8mm in thickness, suggesting it will be slightly smaller than the bottom bezel seen on last year’s Pixel 2 XL. On an added note, those looking for symmetry will be pleased to know that the bottom firing speaker once again makes a return and appears to be line up perfectly with the notch up top.

Aside from the physical aspect of the Pixel 3 XL, the smartphone is expected to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 on the inside, with this possibly being coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Also, 128GB of internal storage is extremely likely. As with all previous Pixel smartphones, the next-generation flagship is likely to make its official appearance at Google’s annual hardware event in October with Android P on board.
