Sharp's new Corner R concept phone sports a bezel-less curved edge display
Sharp, the electronics company that was purchased by contract manufacturer Foxconn for $6.2 billion last February, has unveiled a new concept handset. Dubbed the Sharp Corner R, the phone features a bezel-less and curved-edge display. Using the IGZO technology that carries up to 1000ppi, the Corner R features a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. That works out to a 425ppi. The display makes up 90% of the front panel with virtual buttons underneath.

The phone was introduced during the CEATECH 2016 technology expo in Japan on Thursday. There is no word on when the device will be offered to the public. A full list of specs was not revealed.
