Sharp's Softbank-bound 5.2-inch Aquos Xx 304SH comes with a super compact metal frame, IP certification, and flagship specs

Japanese Softbank, the current majority owner of Sprint, has just released information around a new Sharp flagship that will be surfing on the carrier's waves as soon as next month. In a typical (as of late) fashion, the Aquos Xx 304SH employs a nearly bezel-less, IP57-certified water and dust-proof body, with super high screen-to-body ratio (135 x 72 x 9 mm, 137g)...

They said it was coming with adreno 330. What article are you reading?

This and that lg phone proved to me that bezel-less is just dull.

Why? "Bezel-less" smartphones means bigger display in compact bodies. Kings of bezels like nokia, sony and HTC should learn from Sharp! And perhaps Samsung too..

a little bit of bezel really helps with design in my opinion. these look really awkward to me. of course that might be your thing but i'm just calling it how i see it.

LG has been pioneering the "bezel-less" screens as of late. Samsung has nothing on them? The LG G Pro 2 is 0.2 inches larger than the galaxy note 3 and it still manages thinner bezels. Now the galaxy S5 is where the bezels make their biggest comeback

So you prefer a phone with lots of bezel? There isn't a downside to having reduced bezel, so I can't why it's dull but then again it's probably just your preference and that's absolutely fine :)

read again, i said "a little bit". how much is that? well my note 3 is the perfect example of that, i can't stand something as big as HTC's but at the same time this sharp phone has taken things a bit too far.

I think 80% ratio screen to bezel is great Just with a tiny top bezel and big bottom bezel, the design looks kind of ulgy, and the bottom is still big, so you still have to stretch up for the top of the screen. I think they should have symmetrical top and bottom bezels, make both of them small, like on the Xperia ZL

No, it's for navigation and ergonomics.

you need to have some bezels either at the top or at the bottom, there are alot of sensors need to put in front of the camera.. one in particular is the front facing camera which takes some space anyway

With phones like these.... we need world peace!

the only unique thing about this phone is design. rest of the specs are dated. Z2 from sony brings higher specs and not less premium.

The specs are current. Apart from the 2GB of RAM and that's still fine with alot of today's flagships, unless somehow you have a phone carrying the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805?

I'm a sucker for squarish phones like this.. love the design sharp

Damn the phone looks good. Wish I live in Japan. Sharp should market their phones in the states.

Great looking phone just like all japan only phones but one wonder why it never get sold internationally. Maybe it's not that good at all and it can't beat the Koreans in real world. And it will be very expensive .

So Softback releases the news on this great phone made by Sharp, and Softbank own most of Sprint, however it won't be available for Sprint users, makes no sense, this looks like a great phone to me and definetly would consider it
