The seventh-generation Apple iPad and its larger 10.2-inch screen starts shipping tomorrow

Today, Apple has released iPadOS, its new iOS-based dedicated tablet operating system. Tomorrow, the new seventh-generation iPad will start shipping. Apple has increased the size of the LCD screen from 9.7-inches to 10.2-inches and the display on the slate carries a resolution of 1620 x 2160. The device is powered by the A10 Fusion chipset, used on 2016's iPhone 7, and it sports an 8MP camera on the back along with a front-facing 1.2MP FaceTime camera. The tablet also comes with support for the first-generation Apple Pencil and the full-size Smart Keyboard accessory. The latter adds a physical QWERTY keyboard to the tablet. Touch ID is included for secure unlocking of the device and to verify mobile payments.

The Wi-Fi only version of the seventh-generation iPad starts at $329 for the model with 32GB of storage. If you need additional storage, the 128GB variant will cost you $100 more ($429).  Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the tablet are available for those who want to use their iPad wherever they go. Also offered with 32GB and 128GB of storage, these connected models are priced at $459 and $559, respectively. Color options for the tablet include Space Gray, Silver, and Gold.

While the seventh-generation iPad starts shipping tomorrow, September 25th, it will be available in stores later this week.
