why would you compare an out of date single core 3g device to these next gen 4g dual core larger displayed superphones with a better os (personal opinion) on them??
the comparison would read that it loses in every way camera cpu screen size (not sure about resolution) and speed if that helps any

correction half of them are dual core but still capable of fast data speeds

alright lets try a non distracted answer ( ya I know)
the i phone 4 while a decent device simply isnt in the same league
smaller screen
no 4g speeds
ios (personal opinion not as good as android)
and a single core cpu

while the iphone 4 is decent its way outclassed here

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? These are all devices with dual-core processors.

Thats sooo BIAS!!!
Phone Arena, you never mentioned the Sensations Contour Screen which is also seen in the Nexus S and makes it look and feel alot better, and of course the Galaxy SII is lighter, the Sensation packs a wonderful Aluminium Unibody compared to the Galaxy's shit plastic, and the Camera isn't Tap to Focus, its got Instant Focus, and Sammy might have Super Amoled Plus but the Sensation has QHD which gives it a big bonus, joined along with the impenetrable Gorilla Glass screen , but on both the Sammy and the Sensation, at least you mentioned that the Sense UI is alot better than the Touchwiz, but I would say the Galaxy SII advantages over the Sensation for its Super Amoled Plus and thinner and lighter body and more RAM, but the Sensation topples Sammy with its Contour Display, qHD screen, and Aluminium unibody, I guess for the Processors, we will just have to wait for Official Benchmarks to see which is faster, and I know Sammy packs great GPU's but the HTC's new Adreno 220 is said to be one of the most powerful out right now and known to be better than the Tegra 2, but Sammy's processors definitely aren't the Best as the Hummingbird in the Galaxy S was far inferior than the EVO, and once those Processors get benchmarked we will have our Final Winner

They didn't say that Sense UI is alot better than TW! Infact I read it the other way round... "HTC takes pride in its FLASHY Sense UI... To support its memory-hungry muscle, HTC has included 768MB of RAM"

That is less RAM for a RAM hungry UI than the SGSII's TW UI to which they say

"Samsung's TouchWiz UI is much less demanding, but you don't get that many SNAZZY effects, but rather a clean down-to-business interface."

So a Flashy, snazzy and memory-hungry UI vs. less demanding, clean down-to-business UI... how did you read that as alot better!?

And I know which one I prefer! I'd pick TW over Sense any day! I hate the whole bottom on the Sense homescreen. 1 big button saying phone and one that does the same as longpressing screen. And TW can turn on/off wifi, bluetooth, GPS, sound and rotation in the notification bar. All that said UI doesn't matter that much as you can always use a launcher ;-)

what bias? This was a spec sheet.. nothing more, nothing less.

1) ill take the shit plastic that makes it lightweight, so when i go running i dont notice the phone, unlike the heavy metal phone which would be bashing my leg over n over n over again.

2)itssuper amoled plus, which destroys QHD. The sensation's screen is sharp, but it cant beat the sharpness AND color clarity of SA2. In the end, its prefrence.

3) Sence VS Touchwiz is a preference thing. personally, i hate sence and can barely stand TW only because it doesnt get in your way as much as sense.

4) Benchmarks have been done. In order of weakest to strongest its.. Dualcore snapdragon (sensation), Tegra2 (GX2), OMAP (LG 3D), and Exynos (galaxyS 2).

5) i dont know where u get ur facts from but the Hummingbird processor DESTROYED the silly first gen snapdragon processor that is found in the Evo. The only test the snapdragon did anything in was in the linpack score which tests 1 small part of the processor. The hummingbird is the strongest single core processor in a phone. It not only powers the galaxyS it also powers the iphone4.

if your going to rant.. at least rant with correct facts. thanks. :)

Completely agree with everything you said except for 2. Super Amoled Plus is a display technology. Qhd is a display resolution. Just lettting you know.

don't EVER compare the HTC's processing capabilities to the SGS2. Have you seen the benchmarks for the two handsets? Do some research- then you'll aappreciate how much a beast the SGS2 is.

Samsung wins in specs - but HTC Sense offers the best UI out of the lot - and THAT's what you'll be interacting with 90% of the time.

While the LG seems to be lagging, maybe they are willing to give up a little in the screen and processor department to score a little battery life? Also, "vanilla Android" may not be a draw back to some people, but a selling point. I think it will sell decently for T-Mobile, and I am not a huge LG product fan.

No doubt Samsung can throw it's stat sheet out for anyone to see and get it's device in the headlines. But, until they improve the updates to Touch-wiz interfaces, it is a tougher sell compared to other, stat-inferior products. This one is an update behind already coming out of the box.

a galaxyS a tough sell? Heck no. That mofo is still flying off the shelves.

Sammy has gotten better with updates. Yea, they were horrible, but at least now they are.... less horrible! :)

BTW, never buy a phone expecting an OS update. you buy it for what it is, not what might come out down the line.

Point taken. But, the idea behind paying the type of money these handsets are gonna ask is that you want as "future proof" of a device you can get. Updates are a selling point. Cannot see buying a dual core phone right now unless it means you get the goodies they will develop for them in the future.

well im going to give my unbiased opinion. I am preordering the g2x on friday morning because im with T-mobile and im tying to get out of my G1. i have been following dual core since this time last yr so im very aware of the detailed specs of these phones. SGS2 looks like a fantastic phone no doubt about it however UK launch is at $1152.00 and thats a little out of many customers budget if its anywhere close to the here in the states. The Atrix motoblur is its biggest downside and has had a few documented issues still great phone but would have done better without the overlay. In regards to the Sensation I saw a video yesterday on engadget on the Sense 3.0 and honestly i think it has more options then it really needs and for what Android is awesome and if you want to modify it there is many ways you can do it. out of all of these id have to say Samsung has it down but hurting when it comes down to the price.

One last thing Iphone ppl stop comparing the iphone to any of these devices the iphone at this point has obsolete hardware wait till your iphone 5 comes out to start making comparison till then stay out of these discussions unless you have something productive to say about the topic.

Thought The HTC Sensation Looks Great ! IT Give Yu The The Sensation That is powering the smartphone ! And the front-facing camera isn't 0.3MP , In fact it is 1.2MP !
I Love The HTC Sense 3 Unlike The Touchwizz 4.0 !
Good Job HTC !
