Sendo announces new Series 60 smartphone - X2

Sendo announced its new X2 smartphone based on Series 60 Symbian OS. It is called a music phone as it supports MP3, AAC and AAC+ music formats.  Sendo claims X2 to be the smallest, lightest Series 60 phone to date - coming in at 18 mm thick, 85 cc, 95 g. The new device should be available in the summer of 2005. The main features of the tri-band GSM phone are:

  • 65k TFT display
  • 1.3 megapixels camera with 8x digital zoom and camcorder
  • 32 MB of RAM
  • MiniSD memory expansion slot
  • Bluetooth
  • HTML internet browsing capability plus WAP
  • Java MIDP application support
