Sanyo prepares SCP-7000 rugged phone

The FCC just approved the Sanyo SCP-7000, prepared for Sprint PCS. The documents on the FCC page doesn't show much but at least we can see the phone's model and some renders of its design – a typical for Sanyo clamshell with size above the average.

Sanyo 7000

Users at forums report that the 7000 by Sanyo is actually the rugged version of the entry-level 2300 and 2400 models by Sanyo. It's expected to launch at a price of $180, in the beginning of November. It's a dual-band CDMA plus AMPS phone.
