Samsung’s smartphone sales share nosedives to new lows in Q4, Apple picks up the slack

It turns out that Samsung's share of the world's smartphone market sales dipped to just 10% in the previous quarter. Yes, you read that right, just one in 10 smartphones sold in Q4 were Samsung ones, according to Strategy Analytics, regardless of the company's numerous lines and models. Apple, on the other hand, accounted for 48.9% of all smartphones then...

THIS article is bullssh*t. IDC reported Apple has gotten closer to Samsung after Samsung left their ass after the GS3 was released. Apple sold 74.5M phones while Samsung sold 75M. If Samsung sold 75M phones, then how is Samsung 1 of 10? Do the math. It's impossible.

If you think this article is BS, why don't you provide us some proof or go somewhere else.

Dude, all I have seen you do since you joined PA YESTERDAY is troll Samsung. Get a life, already. Clearly there is something very wrong with this article if Samsung sold the same amount of smartphones as Apple in Q4.

If you had more than 3 braincells you would see the Plain obvious in this. That they are utterly wrong with the numbers. But since you like to tell people to go and find proof. Why don't you explain to the rest of us how it all adds up?

Sure... According to GSMarena, and the graphic in the srticle, Samsung sold 86M smartphones for the last quarter of 2014. We already know Apple claimed to have sold about 74.5M. PhoneArena's own article here -, were tied for the last quarter. Samsung reports they forcasted sales at 360M last year, but cut them to 330M - IDC - Now, maybe YOU need to go back to school. Samsung sold 330M phones in 2014, that means on average they sold 82M phones per quarter. Now either you have been reading the articles on PA, and simply ignoring them so you can troll, or maybe you are just choosing to be ignorant. But I know you are purposely trolling after reading several of your post yesterday. We know you hate Samsung. However, chosing to ignore factual evidence over some analyst that has no credibility, LOWERING YOUR OWN CREDIBILITY. Though I don't like or dislike Samsung, I hate trolls. You don't want to tangle with me bruh because I will slap you with facts even if you ignore them. Samsung can't represent 30% of sales because Apple still sold less phones than they did. If 74M is less than 82M then it is impossible for Apple to have almost 0% of the sales and Samsung have 30%. Now go troll someone else who is less smarter than you.

According to the numbers, about 1.3M smartphones shipped last year. Samsung reportedly shipped 330M of that number which represents about 30% for the whole year. For Q4, Samsung sold 75M phones while Apple was closer than ever at 74.5M. In fact, a report was done that said Apple was short Samsung by 600,000 units. If 375M phones were shipped in Q4, and Samsung was 75M and Apple was 74.5M, how is Samsung representation only 30%? 75 x 5 is 375 which means both Apple and Samsung wree both 1/5th the overall sales of the quarter. WTF is this analyst smoking and why is Samesung who just created an account trolling the death of Samsung? Why is PA reporting an article that is mathematically inaccurate when they have their own article which stated Apple is nearer to Samsung than they have been since the release of the GS3?
