The Galaxy S7 – Samsung's last flat-screened flagship

Although Samsung has previously released Lite versions of its flagship models, next year’s budget Galaxy S10 is expected to be the first one that actually offers a similar level of performance at a lower price. And today a new report has revealed a few extra details about the device.

Following in the footsteps of the both the Galaxy S10 and S10+, Samsung’s lower-cost version is set to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8150 on the inside. This processor will then be coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the buyer’s preference. As standard, both configurations will ship with 64GB of internal storage. However, consumers that are willing to spend a little extra cash should also be able to purchase a 6/128GB model.

Moving over to the external side of things, the Galaxy S10 Lite is now expected to ship with a flat Infinity-O display. This will be combined with a metal frame that includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a dual-camera setup on the rear that may be placed horizontally. Previously this device was expected to ship with just one rear camera.

Samsung is expected to announce its budget Galaxy S10 in late February at MWC 2019 alongside the Galaxy S10 and S10+. Sales of the device will presumably commence in March alongside the rest of the lineup. Lastly, it’s claimed that it will retail at somewhere between $650 and $750.
