Samsung's Galaxy S9-compatible DeX Pad has never been as cheap as right now
We’ve all fantasized about that one device powerful, versatile, and productive enough to assume both smartphone and full-fledged PC responsibilities, with Samsung apparently working diligently towards that goal through gradual DeX upgrades.

Originally released with the Galaxy S8 and S8+ back in the spring of 2018, the company’s desktop experience interface can now be enabled by the Galaxy Note 9 without the need of a dedicated “Station” or “Pad”. All it takes is a USB-to-HDMI cable, and poof, the world’s best handset right now will turn into a big-screen computer... with the help of an actual external monitor.

But if the Note 9’s somewhat repetitive design fails to excite you or you simply feel the Galaxy S9 or S9+ deliver better value for your money at the moment, you’ll be happy to hear Samsung’s DeX Pad is on sale... again.

Typically available for $99.99, the smartphone-to-PC-transforming accessory has repeatedly been marked down, but never this low. For a “limited time only”, you get a whopping $62 in “instant savings” from Samsung’s official US e-store, bringing the price all the way down to $37.50.

If you haven’t been able to score this free of charge with your Galaxy S9 purchase, you’ll probably need to wait quite some more time to see it offered so cheap again. Keep in mind the DeX Pad is also compatible with the Galaxy Note 8, S8, S8+, and S8 Active, including USB-C and HDMI cables, as well as a Fast Charge wall charger to juice up your phone while getting some work done on a large display.

There’s a built-in fan too ensuring your handset stays nice and cool during the docking process, while the Galaxy S9 can even be used as a touchpad for your “true desktop” setup.
