Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 could become official in late July
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could make its official debut in late July. Despite the Samsung Galaxy S9 series recently reaching the 1 million sales milestone in South Korea, shipments are reportedly lagging behind Samsung’s initial expectations. Because of this, one new report claims the smartphone giant will bring forward the launch of the Galaxy Note 9.

In actual fact, the new information claims Samsung will be officially unveiling the Galaxy Note 9 one month earlier than usual, towards the end of July, with sales of its next flagship reportedly beginning mid-August. This decision will ultimately allow Samsung to provide its premium smartphone lineup with significant boost while also giving it a head start against Apple. After all, Samsung’s Silicon Valley-based rival is once again expected to launch its new iPhone lineup in September. Additionally, the early launch also backs up two previous claims in relation to the future of the company’s flagship devices.

Specifically, the report reiterates Samsung’s plans to launch the Galaxy S10 in January in the hope of maximizing the device’s sales potential throughout the rest of 2019. After all, just over a month after the anniversary flagship goes on sale, it will be at risk of being overshadowed by a new Samsung product. The second launch, which is currently expected to take place towards the end of February, possibly at MWC 2019, will see Samsung debut its first foldable phone. Now, it’s unclear how quickly the smartphone will be available to purchase, but the uniqueness of the product could certainly dent sales of the Galaxy S10.

Officially, Samsung is yet to comment on its updated launch schedule but it would certainly make sense when all of its upcoming launches are taken into consideration. Nevertheless, considering the amount of time left before any of the new smartphone's launch, the South Korean giant still has the choice of sticking to a more traditional release schedule.
