Samsung's complete vision for future Infinity Display designs

Samsung is currently exploring many different ways to reorganize a mobile device business that’s started to struggle under pressure from ambitious China-based rivals, as well as modernize the look of its flagship phones and pioneer revolutionary foldable products.

But for the time being, it remains unclear exactly when and where we’ll see the company’s four new Infinity Display approaches implemented. The Galaxy S10 could adopt a controversial Infinity-O design, with two other handsets expected to make their debut in the early stages of next year sporting notches of some sort.

Well-connected Russian tech journalist and occasional leaker Eldar Murtazin claims the Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A90 will in fact be Samsung’s very first devices released with new Infinity screens in February 2019.

The rumored timing of the two mid-ranger announcements may sound a little weird, as the Galaxy S10 is widely expected to see daylight no later than March, but in case you've forgotten, the Galaxy A8 and A8+ (2018) were also unveiled relatively close to the Galaxy S9 launch.

Those two looked pretty cool by early 2018 non-flagship standards, and the Galaxy A7 and A9 (2018) are even sleeker, but as the new names suggest, the Galaxy A70 and A90 should sit in a “higher class” than their A-series forerunners.

Concept designer and hit-and-miss tipster Ben Geskin seems to have some knowledge of these two devices as well, “clarifying” what was already fairly obvious. The A70 and A90 will not be able to ditch screen bezels altogether by embracing the “New Infinity” vision, adopting Infinity-O, Infinity-V, or Infinity-U designs instead. Despite that, their prices are described as “quite ok” by Eldar Murtazin, although no numbers are mentioned.
