Not sure why Nook is even working with Samsung. Why don't they just spend their time improving their Nook eReader app and port it to all platforms.

I have an original Nook "Tablet" which Nook basically abandoned back in 2011 with VERY few upgrades to itself or available apps. I'm still using the original Dolphin browser (no newer one available) and get constant message from web sites telling me I need to upgrade, Thanks but I can't. The battery now is only stable down to 70% so my Nook Tablet's useful days are numbered.

I bought a Nexus 7 (2013) last year, installed the Nook app along with the Kindle and Google ebook apps and they all work fine. I can order ebooks from all, whichever is less expensive. Don't see any advantage of getting any Samsung tablet that they have worked with Nook to produce. It may only mean that the tablet is more restricted to Nook as opposed to open for all eBook apps. No need for any tablet that is built for Nook like the Samsung. Nook just needs to make their eReader app good enough for every tablet and leave it at that.

I agree with you 100%! I've used the Nook app on the iPad and it needs some improvements to say the least.

It's common sense if milk wants to compete with Kindle and all the others we need some major hardware behind them apparently amoled if you did not know is pretty much the best behind screens and Samsung has the power to build them at cheaper cost to nook
