According to Peter Skarzynski, a Samsung vice president for mobile phones, the Samsung i730 smartphone will be available in the US in the first quarter of next year. The i730 is CDMA Pocket PC 2003 device with sliding keyboard and 320 x 240 display. Samsung did not reveal which carrier will have it, but we assume it will be Verizon Wireless.

During the same product launch event, Samsung P735 was also officially introduced. It is currenly on sale from T-Mobile USA. Main features of the phone are mega pixel camera, tri-band operating, external OLED display, RS-MMC memory expansion slot.

Samsung SPH-A760 was another new announcement. It features Push-to-Talk, 1xRTT high speed data and digit dialing. A760 is expected to be available from Sprint PCS.
