Go and see the studies iboy. First most sold phone models in the World are only high end phones , and 3 of them are Samsung. Try again

Second is a distant second, and now considered a commercial failure because it is a few months old and as many are sitting in the channel as have been sold.

It was during release. Was voted #1 on a lot of blind camera tests. Of course some phones are better now since 5S is almost a year old.

Because specs make the experience? Lol, you must be dense to think specs matter much anymore. It's efficiency that matters. (Btw, what's with the Apple hate?).

Apple actually sells 3 to 2 and already is good. If we count all, it is 3 to 4 actually.

How much of that do you get? Maybe, the best device isn't determined by who has the biggest bank account. The biggest bank account is determined by who can sell a CHEAP ($197) device for the most money.

good ads from samsung but apple sells always

Samsung actually sold millions of their flagship every year. Less than Apple but still MILLIONS, every year. And more than Apple worldwide. And I dont even like Sammy.

But the key stat is that Samsung isn't losing sales to Apple, but other Android manufacturers. Apple is now just on a rotation with their former customers, the ones too entrenched in the walls to be able to leave. They just keep milking those poor people and some actually have started to like the shafting.

Apple should turn the tables on them with a metal construction. Samsung Owner: hey, there might be a new Galaxy coming out that's constructed out of metal. Apple Owner: you mean they haven't done that yet? :P

That would be a horrible ad honestly. And it's no longer a choice of materials that's the problem with Samsung, because if polycarbonate is suppose to be so bad, it would not have resisted the weight of a Tesla S car. An iPhone or an HTC one on the other hand would have been crushed. What Samsung has to work on is a new design. Their design is getting old, even though their phones are super comfortable to gold in the hand.

there is no problem with plastic there is problem with samsung plastic look at nokia it also has plastic but feels better than samsung

Yes the problem with their plastic is that hyperglyze finish they used to use. I own a Gs4 and I am not a big fan of it. Love the phone overall except for the back. That's why I'm having it replaced with a different back. I have felt Nokia plastic and they are both the same polycarbonate, the thing is Nokia uses a much thicker shell which is why it also contributes to a heavier phone even when having a much smaller screen size. The plastic used on the GS5 and Note 3 is not hyperglyzed and it feels soooo much better.

i don't like s5's weight and feel, too light, it feels like a toy... + fugly design, nohatefanboy was right, other's can make plastic looks premium than samsung fugly design, look at huawei p6 and sony z1compact..

Bulky and heavy, who wants a piece of slab to haul around? Oh! Maybe you.

Yes, the plastics used on Nokia and HTC phones are quite durable and feel good in hand. They're also not glossy but Samsung took care of that in the Galaxy S5 (though the casing could use a bit more reinforcement). Not sure about the crushing part though, almost every phone will be crushed under those circumstances and it depends on what angle it was struck.

The problem is, people are not purchasing Apple for its aluminum construction. It is either because of brand or because of the operating system. If Apple made all plastic handsets, incorporated removable batteries and SD cards, Apple would still sell well because of brand. Trust me. It has nothing to do with aluminum. John B.

If you're at the top of the heap, you leave the yapping to those who want to unseat you. Apple addressing Samsung in any way, same as it was for HTC before them, and Moto before HTC, legitimizes Samsung and does them more good than harm. You don't want to do that, especially as Samsung starts to fade back into the pack.

Calling out Samsung as directly as Samsung calls out Apple would damage them but I fail to see how Apple can continue to ignore Samsung so completely and still benefit. These last few ads from Samsung are hitting HARD and Apple's gonna need to respond somehow, and I'm not talking about a subtle remark during a keynote that no average consumer watches.
