Samsung tells ALL Galaxy Note 7 owners to power down the device – original AND replacement models

Samsung has issued a press release this afternoon related to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement units. Since last week, at least six of them have exploded including the latest incident that took place at a South Korean Burger King. That explosion was caught on video. Supposedly a "safer" version of the phablet because of the different battery employed on the model, the replacement units have proven to be as dangerous as the original models...

Aww don't have better comebacks and resort to verbal attacks? XD am amazed at the fanaticism at play here, even when your life is at stake, smh.

A person risks their lives every day the moment they get out of bed. There's a less than 1% chance that a phone will explode.

"There's a less than 1% chance that a phone will explode." Not if you own a galaxy note 7

Same could be said about any device, what about the lady that had her iPhone 6s or whatever iPhone it was explode on her a few days ago probably doesn't matter considering iPhones are all the same?

Do you have any links? also, let's say it did explode, that's not a 1% chance, it's waaaaaayyyyy less, perhaps a 0.0000000000000000000001% being that the recorded cases do not amount for those from sammy, especially considering they both now have IP certification.

No why would I deny it? Especially when you have a link, but okay, what does Apple have to do with all this?

Why keep a potentially dangerous device that samsung refuses to sell anymore? Get a S7 or note 5 or something? Waiting to see how it plays out while having a dangerous device in the meanwhile seems to ve a stupid plan. I hope you dont get hurt.

Why does it explode? Btw is the battery made by Samsung? Maybe phones are too tight sealed these days because of water and dust proof, so the heat cant flow away?

Makes me wonder too, why S7 and S7 edge are OK with IP68?

They were made by Samsung. Batteries are exploding because Samsung were cutting corners (possibly skipping safety tests) trying to rush note 7 out to us faster and sooner before iPhone 7.

Somewhere there is a Sammy fanboy in front of the screen with tears on his eyes *smh*

Maybe this affects everyone and not just samsung fans? Hmm complex possibility beyond some cosmos of thought, right?

How do you think I feel? My "after recall" Note 7 won't even arrive until tomorrow morning due to the hurricane delaying shipping. A recall on a recall replacement? Wtf?? At the time, saving a couple hundred bucks on swappa for a great phone with a fixed issue seemed like a great idea. The Note 7 was after all a pretty kick ass phone. I'm well aware of all the "fire" issues plaquing the replacement units, but ordered it before any of them became public. I mean seriously... a recall on a recall replacement... I hope a few people lose their jobs over this one.

Picked up an iPhone 6s as my work phone alongside my 7plus. Had some dollars left over and got a s**t load of accessories. Until next year Samsung

Returned my note 7. Best phone I've ever used but I can't take the risk of being injured or killed by some phone.

Yea bro, I didn't like the edge 7, so I spoke to the guy and explained it was a work phone. Saved some money and got some cool accessories. I got my 7plus on Saturday so I'll rock 2 iPhones for now

Congrats bro, I didn't want an Edge 7 either. This is the craziest phone fiasco I've ever experienced.

Same here lol. This actually gave me a headache. I may even get a series 2 Apple Watch. I don't think I may pass on the Note 5, and just wait till next year. This is frustrating.
