Samsung tells ALL Galaxy Note 7 owners to power down the device – original AND replacement models

Samsung has issued a press release this afternoon related to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement units. Since last week, at least six of them have exploded including the latest incident that took place at a South Korean Burger King. That explosion was caught on video. Supposedly a "safer" version of the phablet because of the different battery employed on the model, the replacement units have proven to be as dangerous as the original models...

Samsung is going to take a beating. I think they can rebuild but it will be a long tedious process

While others Android users enjoy freedom Samsung restrict their user and tell them what to do and what don't Charge 60% is enough Gaming apps less to avoid overheating And many more restrictions

The Note 7 is officially DEAD. If you have one please return it so you can continue the flame wars another day.

I actually do feel bad for Samsung. Whatever it is, it was a good product. But the hype just went down just like it went up. I guess opting for the OnePlus 3 is the best choice now. And yeah this is gonna really take long to build the reputation for Samsung again.

Samsung will recover from this, but the note series is pretty much finished, they should rename it to something else, and they should never ever skip numbers again!

Samsung may have to rename their Note line now that it has been tainted with this debacle. Maybe come back next year as the S8 Pro. And the only reason I'm saying this is because it takes consumers a long time to no longer associate a name with a bad product. Look at what happened to the Ford Explorer when they had the Firestone tire debacle, people wouldn't buy a car with the name Firestone on it for years.

I think your idea of naming it the S8 Pro is a good idea regardless of the bad press the Note moniker is now dealing with.

Their fans won't leave...

Fans only make up so much of the smartphone sales. You have to remember new customers and those that are undedicated and switch around as to what phone they buy every year. In fact a recent survey found that 40% of Samsung owners switch to different brands.

"Their fans won't leave..." Is that really okay though? Throughout this entire saga, all Samsung has done is throw their fans under the bus. Just look at the email they sent people...pure incompetence. It's like a terrible relationship. Oh yeah, their CEO is a piece of human garbage from what I've read -_-.

Through fans under the bus? My s7edge that was provided by..SAMSUNG. Has kept me happier than any iPhone or other android phone could have. In my opinion, Samsung has made the best phone of 2016.

Have you read some of these reports? Have you seen the statements Samsung has made to the public? I'm really glad you enjoy your phone fam' (I mean it) but don't be daft. This isn't about their products before now, it's about their actions (or lack thereof) throughout the past few days. They haven't even issued a public apology for screwing up...again!!!!! Come on dude...

"OMFG apple is no better." Ahhh....the classic Android deflection mechanism. "But Apple...." What about Apple? What do they have to do with any of this? God...accept what's in front of you.

Interested on your thoughts about the 10. HTC stopped selling their devices in our country around 3 years ago, which is sad.

Amazing phone overall. Blows my iPhone 7 plus away in audio and screen quality (at least to me) but I've always been an audio guy. Battery life is excellent too. The only issue I've had is with the Silver paint, but I'm trading it in for a red one this weekend :D.

Ohh I see, good thing HTC never forgets the audio lovers. Had an HTC One M9 in the past, excellent audio, I can say that the SD810 issues were a bit overblown.

For once I don't condone bringing Apple into this. This time around the entire $# ¡+$+0®m is on Samsung and it's Note 7 parts suppliers.

How can some Samsung user hate the brand saying when he/she is satisfied as a user. The news which you are referring(regarding text message) seems to be fake. You can find lots of similar news about Apple too. Will that make you hate Apple?
