Samsung takes a shot at Apple after larger-screened iPhone models are unveiled

Samsung Mobile's Philippines crew sent out a tweet on Tuesday, making fun of Apple for increasing the size of the screen on the two iPhone models that were unveiled on Tuesday. In case you missed it for some reason, Apple introduced the 4.7 inch Apple iPhone 6 and the 5.5 inch Apple iPhone 6 Plus yesterday. The Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 5c and Apple iPhone 5 all have 4 inch screens. All other iPhone models sport a 3.5 inch display...

Well I wasn't going to keep my HTC M7 until this release by Apple but now I don't feel so outdated.

Just goes to show you how miserably wrong Steve Jobs was in his lifetime, about many things, e.g., his disownment of his illegitimate daughter, his estranged relationship with his friend and business partner, his choice of treatment for a deadly disease, that vial turtle-neck he always wore and, of course, whether people, including ba-ha-ha-ad people, want big or small. I bet he's rolling and kicking in that iGrave of his, "let me out, let me out, let me the F##k out!!

Well, Jobs said that, and Apple without him is surely different. Who knows what would iP6 look like if Steve was in charge still.

Funny how no1 is noticing that Apple clearly has two ranges now mid range and high end, even though both poor. it shows the previous model phones were clearly sold as high end but were in FACR mid range. 640P screen on 5/5S - really Apple. Now 4.7" has 750p. PA would of bashed any other company for that. "Fanboyism ay it's best" Jobs "Think different" Will do Note 4 baby

I also wonder no website critise apple for showing/portraying a midrange phone as high end and selling in very high price.... whereas, they repeatedly criticise other oems if they made any midrange phone with high price or show a midrange as highly specd

Because it actually PERFORMS like a flagship? But of course if all that matters to you is meaningless numbers on paper, rather than how they translate to real world usage, I can get your confusion. After all, people buy Apple product only for the logo, amirite? /s

no it doesnt perform like a flagship, its just a mear misconception.... any midrange will perform better than this with a closed down locked down limited operating system... but other oems dont have such expertise to come up with their own OS and using open operating system android or they dont want to spend to come up with similarly closed down locked down limited OS of their own... they are too late for that bcoz market is matured already and competition is tough, while apple has build a good support and name in last 7 years(in earlier time/childhood of touch screen phones)

Geek bench indicates that both the 4.7 and 5.5 are faster phones than any Android released in single and multicore

My note 3 still gets about 3000 on multicore in geekbench 3.

if you'll put a cat(ios) in 1000cc car and put an elephant(android) in 3000cc car, which one will pick up/accelerate faster? ofcourse the one with the cat... but at the end of the day the car with the elephant is way better, 1000cc car may be cant even carry the elephant... I have seen those bench marks which are around 2900... you should look at bench marks of other phones as well and you'll find many surpassing it... however, what ever the bench marks say, biggest iSupporter jakelee already told us that bench marks are zero and meaningless

yh dats very true... if we should put ios 8 on both a note 4 and iphone 6+ or wateva, which wuld perform way better?... and try putting even stock android on iphone 6+ and u wuld c how it would lag!!..

Geekbench was suspect back in June as it was misidentifying Apple device ram speed as 0MHz. Something funky going on there regarding??? Easier test. Just use the phone to watch a high def movie and multitask to and from such. The lag is realworld results, the ghosting will be realworld results and adding new apps to the mix will be realworld results.

Why don't you take a snapdragon 805 and strap it to a 1080p screen and telle who performs faster, and don't even get me started on the tegra k1

I was about to say the same. The new bigger iphones are also starting from the same price $650 (16GB) juz like all previous iterations were sold. That means the pricing of iPhone has nothing to do with the technology+manufacturing+marketing cost. Its totally dependent on GREED...

Samsung is a lame ass company tho......abominable copy caters I always say smh its obvious they are insecure towards apple tho.....even tho things are changeing and apple seems to be becoming more like android their still haters and lame imo....die Samsung die!

plz dont say becoming more like android, use the proper word copy cat as you used for samsung... so apple become "abominable copy caters which is insecure towards samsung"

8. XPERIA-KNIGHT unregistered

Lol... If theyre becoming more like android why do you assume they're becoming like Samsung? Does Samsung make up the entire android platform?

all android phones have rounded corners and slide to unlock...but why did apple attack only samsung? so in that sense, i guess samsung is and antire android platform.
