When someone says something in the form of "Most things the S Pen does, you can just do with your fingers" it's obvious that either they have not spent time using the S-Pen, or do not understand the functionality altogether. I am sorry but the whole article is use of space and time. Note is differentiated from S line by... wait for it, the S-Pen and the things you can do with it. It is an integral part of the device, built into the UX and if you take that away, there is no reason for Note line to exist.

Wrong wrong see you need to realize this YOUR PHONE IS A TABLET AND COMPUTER MIXED IN TO ONE. I mean hell look back when the GALAXY MEGA first came out it was a tablet in a phone

Im a Note user and get a new one each year since the Note 4. I use my finger often but the pen is like mouse for this ultra compact computer which gets used more than my computer. I'm a professional artist and the Note is indispensable due to the properties of the pen in conjunction with the benefits of this advanced mobile "phone" which now offers the Adobe Suite. Thinking the pen is superfluous is an uneducated opinion. The pen can navigate the screen WAY better than your fat finger and is programmed to do things you finger cannot!!! This includes translating, making giffs, extracting text where all devices cannot and a favorite of mine is making the perfect screen capture. In drawing the pen is capable of creating numerous widths and details. The Note's size makes it more portable than a tablet which is essential to me. This article was based on news that the Note's pen creates a design challenge for Samsung and advances this fact into the realm of absurdity! In the author's noble effort to write a cleaver article they have presented a bunch of misinformation and misleading opinions that will spark more ignorance! The S-Pen is extremely useful and this article's focus is a LIE as in unfounded BS and as wrong as prejudice! Omg .. get real!

i don't even use my apple pencil on the ipad pro 12.9 gen 3, i'd never use a stylus on a phone.

I wrote a comment yesterday. I'm a professional artist and have followed the advancements of the spen in the note for 6 years. It does a lot of things Samsung never advertises that require research to discover. Unfortunately Samsung is a poor communicator regarding their products. But anyone who EXPERIENCES and DISCOVERS what the pen does, uses it a lot!!!! So if you don't use it your comments are superfluous, irrelevant and misleading. The pen is like a mouse for the screen of the Note, in fact it's a LOADED MOUSE! loaded with power and uses on a device that is a computer in your pocket tha also takes pictures and makes phone calls and plays movies. The Note has WACOM technology in it WACOM make touch sensitive drawing devices. I use my note 24/7 for many years and mostly use my finger BUT the pen is used for the things it does everyday.

Amazing how profoundly ignorant and backwards some so called tech reviewers are. Victor has no clue! The only reason I and millions of other Note users have stuck with the Samsung Note is because of the S pen, because we find it useful in so many ways. Just because you've not been able to figure out and harness the real potential of S pen doesn't make it useless. If you don't want the S Pen, then you can go for the S series. May I suggest your next "brilliant" article → "why airlines should cut airplane leg room in half or just eliminate leg room entirely because it will allow them add more seats and they can also carry more fuel" ... This type of idiotic thinking is right up your alley.

This must be an iPhone user who hates Samsung for the competition and probably how Apple owes Samsung lotsa money for the screens that didn't sell. I have never been this disappointed with Phonearena. This is the last media I consume from you. Like that is how you just killed it. Why don't you just see the use of the pen and how they are handy? Taking photos, signing documents... I'm not even sorry for saying this but I just hated this article from you.
