Didnt they just break sales records last year?

And they're expected to break them again this coming fall. The Note/S line haven't outsold the iPhone in any single generation since the S4, and the number of high end phones that Samsung sells has continued to decrease at a substantial rate. At one point, it was 73% of their mobile sales. Now it's a poultry 29% and falling, fast. Not to mention the ASP of Android phones decreased for the eighth straight quarter, now down to a measly $177 dollars. People here are so worried about Apple, they can't even see Android OEMs dying in the wind. I give it three years' before the entire mobile market crashes.

Not and, Apple sales of iPhones fell in 2016. They will likely not grow in Q1 to 3 this year either. Just like Apple was extremely late to the larger screen party, they are late to the market again, so yes they will have great Q4 sales IF they bring out a S8 clone with more Android features by Sept.

I literally just posted a link proving that false. Whatever, be ignorant, buy your Samsung and be happy. Don't reply to me again, I don't have the energy to deal with the sam-stooges this morning.

Posting a report for one-quarter does not prove that Apple sold more phones for a year. That is just plain stupid, but a good reason why you do not have the energy to substantiate a blatantly false claim. I am not a Samstooge by the way just pointing out your obvious error

That is false. Samsung outsold Apple with the S7 for nearly 3 quarters of last year per PA's own article vs a single sellign iPhoen model. Eher is how you guys continue to mislead and lie. Appple has 5 selling models per year. Apple doesn't give sales numbers for any single model. Samsung sold 50M+ of just the S7 as a single model. This beat any single selling iPhone model with exception of the iPhone 6. Hwoever, PA's and Wikipedia shows that Apple sold 200M iPhone 6 over a 2 year period. That means they sold rougly 25 million per quarter. That is less than what the S7 sold in one quarter. Do the math, read the facts: Annual sales by manufacturer (1Q 2016 – 4Q 2016)[edit] Q1 2016[42][edit] Samsung: 81.1869 million (23.5% market share) Apple: 51.6295 million (14.8% market share) Huawei: 28.8610 million (8.3% market share) OPPO: 16.1126 million (4.6% market share) Xiaomi: 15.0480 million (4.3% market share) Others: 156.4134 million (44.8% market share) Total: 349.2514 million (100% market share) Q2 2016[43][edit] Samsung: 76.7435 million (22.3% market share) Apple: 44.3950 million (12.9% market share) Huawei: 30.6707 million (8.9% market share) OPPO: 18.4896 million (5.4% market share) Xiaomi: 15.5307 million (4.5% market share) Others: 158.5303 million (46.0% market share) Total: 344.3597 million (100% market share) Q3 2016[44][edit] Samsung: 71.7335 million (19.2% market share) Apple: 43.0007 million (11.5% market share) Huawei: 32.4895 million (8.7% market share) OPPO: 24.9366 million (6.7% market share) BBK Communication Equipment: 19.8789 million (5.3% market share) Others: 181.2533 million (48.6% market share) Total: 373.2925 million (100% market share) Q4 2016[45][edit] Apple: 77.0389 million (17.9% market share) Samsung: 76.7826 million (17.8% market share) Huawei: 40.8037 million (9.5% market share) OPPO: 26.7047 million (6.2% market share) BBK Communication Equipment: 24.2882 million (5.6% market share) Others: 185.9211 million (43.1% market share) Total: 431.5393 million (100% market share) I just proved you wrong.

The S7 release date was 3/12/2016. So it was on sales officially 9 months and 2 weeks as of December 31, 2016. The iPhone 6S was on sale 9/25/2015. We know as a fgact, Apple sells the most iPhone in its own Fiscal Q1, because it encompassed the last 3 months of a year which include the XMAS and Black Friday sales rush. After this the iPhone sales slack off in a big way. I just posted 2016 sales and you can see this. During Spring and Summer, Apple sold in 2016, about 40M+ smartphones with 5 selling models. Basically my facts show, that from the very first month the S7 was available, it started outselling the iPhone 6S in the first couple months on sale. THIS IS A SINGLE MODEL VS A SINGLE MODEL. This based on facts lasted until the iPhone 7 was release. But Apple only caught up because they now have an additional selling model. The 6S in fact NEVER outsold the S7 for the hold 9 months it was on sale in 2016 and it was the sells leader for 2017. You claim is BS. So based on facts bruh as a single model, the S7 alone outsold the iPhone 6S, the iPhone 6, the iPhone 5S and whatever other selling iPhone model for 2016 as a single model independent of each other. LET ME MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE FACTS SO YOU DONT MISQUOTE ME S7 sold more iPhone 5S S7 sold more than the iPhone 6 S7 Sold more than the iPhone 6S S7 sold more than the iPhone 7 all as a single model counting their OWN sales not combined iPhone sales. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? DONT ACT LIKE A FOOL and act like you can't comprehend. Your claim is BS. Samsung sold 320M+ phones in 2016 and APple sold only 215M for the year. That is based on ALL SELLING models from both OEM's. Apple did not sell more phones than Samsung for the entire year of 2016. According to some sites Apple sold more total phones for one quarter. Hwoever I provided data that refutes that claim. Also I will show you how the 76M claim for Q4 is wrong. Samsung sold 320M phones in 2016. Accordingto Wikipedia, they only sold 305M. So if Samsung didn't sell 320M, it is because they had to subtract the Note 7 pre-order sales that they ended up not shipping. So here is the fact -http://pocketnow.com/2016/06/15/china-has-8-of-top-12-smartphone-manufacturers According to the smartphone chart here, it states and shows, Samsung sold for the 2016F which is (F)inal 320M phones. Which means in order to get that total Smasung sold as per Wikipedia: 81M Q1 76M Q2 71M Q3 Which means they has to sell 90M+ for Q4 because 90M will only equal 318M when the chargt says they sold 320M...so factually they sold avout 92M in Q4 2016. THOSE ARE THE FACTS BRUH... THA'S TH DAGGER IN YOUR BACK! Now I have FACTS TO BACVK MY CLAIM!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you should think before you use Google. ”The holiday quarter is historically Apple's biggest and Q1 2017, which ends December 1, 2016, was no exception.” Quote from the iMore link u posted. A quarter is not a year, Apples sales were less than impressive in Q1 to 3 and their Sales numbers were down in 2016 as a whole over 2015. It helps if you Google the correct data!

I'm not sure who iMore is, but the fiscal first quarter (or calendar 4th quarter) is from October 1st to December 31st, not December 1st.

They did, for the first two quarters, as they always do in a new model year. I fail to see how that would be relevant anyhow. They are coming off a record quarter, how are they "failing fast"? Market share means nothing considering the majority of people buying these cheap ass Android phones live in the lowest income sectors on Earth.

The kind of hype iPhone 8 is generating, it is very hard to believe iPhone sales decreasing next year. Even if s8 and note 8 is going to be a hit. Apple has a huge head start in terms of profit. It can afford few years of slow growth / lack of innovation without losing it's profit share by much .

Apple was in the top spot in the fourth quarter of 2016 as it accounted for 20.3 percent while Samsung was in second place with 18.5 percent. The two have swapped positions with Samsung accounting for 26.1 percent of the market in Q1 2017 and Apple for 16.9 percent. Source: Sammobile

In Brazil the fall of the iPhone is bigger Sales of iPhones in Brazil fall 40% in one year Apple 's quarterly results, released yesterday , showed a global drop in the sale of iPhones. In Brazil, however, the slowdown in the company's smartphone sales was even greater: according to data from market research firm Gartner quoted by Folha de São Paulo, the number of iPhones sold in the country between April and June 2016 was 40 % Lower than the same period of last year. Altogether, in the second quarter of this year, Apple sold 498 thousand iPhones around here. Not only did she sell less than last year. The Brazilian smartphone market as a whole moved 25% fewer units than in the same period of 2015 (dropping to 10.6 million). Still, the sharp drop in sales of iPhones in Brazil has caused Apple to lose market share. Among the other smartphone manufacturers, the only one that lost more market than Apple was LG, which saw a 43% drop in sales in the country during the last quarter. Samsung, on the other hand, was the one that lost the least, with a 13% reduction. This caused Samsung to have 42% share in the Brazilian smartphone market, which represents a kind of "resurrection". That's because, by 2013, the South Korean company was responsible for more than half of the sales of smartphones in Brazil. The manufacturer Blu, on the other hand, was the only company that saw an increase in its number of sales in Brazil between the second quarters of 2015 and 2016. The result continues a trajectory of growth of the company in the Brazilian market . The chart that compares the performance of top smartphone manufacturers in the country can be seen below (the chart says "1st tri" because this is the first fiscal quarter, this period is equivalent to the second quarter of the normal calendar

A bit disappointed for our sibling LG. We need to do something. A primary plan would be switching to OLED panel although its LCD is already topnotch, very important. 2nd tactic we need to oust the current CEO. His decision is so inconsistent and doesn't have a true vision. I wish we keep fighting after this sad news. :(

Haha. Que the Samsung haters in 3...2...1.... Samsung took the lead back, without even having a flagship to sell for 6 months THE TRUE BEAST AND KING! Let all the Apple haters begin! Here comes all the haters trying to say Apple still sells the most single model BS. BEcause they all want to exclude the fact Smasung does sell only one model. But if they did, Samsung would sell 300M phones every year still, as long as they can provide a model at the proper cost. So a Galaxy S Mini for $250 for cheap markets, Galaxy S for mid-ranged for $500 and a Galaxy S Pro for high end for $800 and eliminate every other model and Samsung would have a sales bonanza.

Cue all the Samsung haters? You've posted so many huge comments in this article already and basically said the exact same thing in each one of them. Your like a rabid troll my lord. They are PHONES, it's not that big of a deal holy Christ man. And your crap of having a iPhone 7 Plus and it being at 20% I call BS on cause mainly you HATE anything Apple so why would you even have an iPhone when you diss it literally every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, 366 in a leap year. You are absolutely ridiculous in your immature hate and trolling. I've not seen anyone else on this site post the same crap over and over so many times in a single article. I don't understand why you are so stuck on hating Apple or giving 2 sh*ts if someone wants to use an iPhone. It doesn't affect your life, your money, so take a flipping Ativan and get laid or something. You posting pretty much the same thing in multiple comments is just rabid retardedness. I will feel sorry for ur wife if she knows how you act on here. It's embarrassing that ur an adult yet hate an inanimate object so much it controls ur life practically. I enjoy my apple products regardless of all your rants and I fully intend to buy more, it's my money and that's all that matters. This site would be a much better place if they just banned you already.
