We don't why. Because we hate trolls. I especially do. I dont GAF how often PA limits my account. I have my own email server. I basically can make an email over a million times and keep and account if I wanted too. PA isn't even worth any support. Most of us just want to have a good tech read and keep up wit what OEM's are doing. But then we can't even enjoy reading our favorite tech info because the writers and the trolls incite flame wars and then limits people who try to make sense. Which is why they are being sued!

Techie may go way over with his long azz post, lol His post may be hard to read most of the time, lol A troll he is not. You all just get so butt hurt including PA that he tells it like it is and 98% of the time does his homework to back it up.

Homework? You mean his long ass essays riddled with typos? If I was his teacher he will never pass school. Let that sink in.

Well said, and 100% agreed. Techie can be extreme, but he's not a liar, a troll, and he keeps it real. Now Flashybitemxytard is a troll. He's also showing racist qualities.

And Samsung made 8.8B...which may be less vs Apple. But when placed in perspective of the size of Samsung and consider they actually make their own s**t, which is more expensive then buying it off the shelf, then you see the profits are really better. Oh and they had even more money. They spent $9B to build OLED factories because they are 95% of the OLED display business. So their profits + expenditures could have landed them over $10B easily last quarter. The biggest difference is in Samsung products we see where the money is going. In Apple products you don't. Same phone 3 years in a row.

Lol, that dude seems so full of double standards. Even though I haven't been here long at all, can't count how many times he says something and then contradicts it in another post.

PA keeps falsely claiming Samsung was struggling Q1 of 2017. That is a complete and uttered lie. They did not. According to this article, Samsung made a huge profit in Q1 2017, even with sliding phone sales. Even though you keep talking about the Note 7, Samsung even in Q4 2016 saw profits due to the S7's taking over to replace the Note 7. They ended up losing $2B from an original forecast. I don't GAF how much you pressitutes hate Samsung, to openly lie is just stipid. Samsung Mobile has already shown that sales of phones have been dropping, mostly in China, since the release of the S6/Note 5. But Samsung started gaining money from other divisions like chips, ram and internal storage to name a few. That is why you never have all your eggs in one basket. Samsung has made several display deals, not just with Apple, which is why they are spending money to build more factories to handle the load as right now they are 95% of the OLED display business and Samsung has to spend this in order to stay ahead, knowing that Foxconn acquisition of Sharp, will lead to another competitor in this space. Also they have to consider the fact LG is getting deeper into the OLED game and so will Japan Display (JDI) and possible others. With more OEM's bititng into this pie, Samsung's only defense is having better yield capability which will land them more contracts. Hate on Samsung all you want, but ist them that amkes the iPhone and every other product they make of higher quality. The world needs Samsung PA, get over yoru stupid bias and hate of them. READ THIS FRIKKIN TITLE -"Samsung posts record profits in Q1 2017 even as phone sales decline". I don't see where that sounds like they were struggling. Article states - "Operating profit saw a massive year-on-year increase of 48% to $8.8 billion". PA and their open B.S. and lies.

What PA seems to not understand is, Samsung is not a phone company. Samsung Mobile is but one division of Samsung Electronics. Samsung Electronics sells lots of products, from phones to appliances. Samsung Electronics based on the numbers, is roughly 1/3 of Samsung Limited total revenue. Samsung Limited is a very big company, that makes all kinds of stuff. But with that Group, Samsung Electronics is one of the largest arms inside this group. When you compare, Apple in general; they are not the same company. They simply compete in a small space. Apple's biggest revenue stream comes from consumers, where 70% of their revenue comes from the iPhone. Everything else Apple had, like the App Store, iCloud and Apple Music, all rely on the iOS platform which is dominated by the iPhone, with the iPad being second and dying. The iPod is already dead because of the iPhone cannibalizing its sales. Samsung Electronic has never relied on smartphone sales to carry the company. If you look at their history, you will see they only had 2 or 3 years where smartphone sales were 50% of their total revenue. In one of those years they sold 430M phones. Samsung is smart to know phones can't hold a huge money making year over year sales of guarantees because it is a highly competitive market. The display market is smaller, because only 2 companies can even have the yield to meet demand. Same with chips and similar. Samsung dominates in 3 main sectors...Chips, displays and audio/visual and this is where they have been spending huge money. When you consider the money Samsung has spent in just the last 12 months...They spent $9B+ on OLED, by building more factories to handle all these orders. Coming from many OEM's, but yes to be fair Apple is likely the biggest customer. They spent huge cash to buy Harmon Kardon, which is the largest Audio/Visual brand on the planet. -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harman_International_Industries - Look how many brands HK owns. Samsung spent $8B to aquire HK Then they have spent billions on chip fabrication to now they beat intel. Then Samsung has spent over $10B+ on R&D for chip development and increasing yield capability and going down to 10NM technology. All this in just 12 months or less. I am sure this money comes from their bottom line somewhere. Add all this spending and Samsung made a killer amount of money in 2016. They are even more valuable than Apple. Apple had a value of $216B. Samsung is valued at $224B and rising. Once Samsung completes all these new factories over the next year or 2, they are goign to be a $300B+ a year company as far as value and assets and Apple will again be looking at Samsung rear for the foreseeable future. Samsung is a best and they are the largest tech company in the world right now. And it shows why they are. PA you can hate them all you want!

Lol, Apple has a market cap 700 billion and Samsung 300 billion. How is Samsung the more valued company? I guess Techie failed at math....

Techie mentioned assets. You are right about market capitalization (market value of a company based on present assets and anticipated future earnings) where Apple currently is #1 in the world at $752 billion as compared to the Samsung Group's $325.4 billion (as per current Forbes 2017 rankings). However, when it comes to assets (value of present assets only excluding anticipated future earnings), the Samsung Group (Samsung Electronics, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire and Marine, Samsung C&T, Samsung SDS, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Samsung SDI) is ahead with $560.8 billion as compared to Apple's $331.1 billion. Sticking with asset valuation, both of them are dwarfed by Chinese companies, with ICBC leading the pack with $3,473 billion (more than 10 times Apple's), China Construction Bank with $3,016 billion, Agricultural Bank of China with $2,816 billion, and Bank of China with $2,611 billion. JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America trail the Chinese with $2,513 billion and $2,197 billion respectively. Just some perspective.

Due to a constant North Korean threat, most of south Korean companies are under valued in the stock market. Its called "Korea discount". Had Samsung been an American or European company, they will be valued a lot higher than what it is now. And of course American medias, blogs, and the Apple fans would be praising Samsung instead of spewing hate comments and biased articles.

Impressive numbers by Samsung Group:http://www.businesskorea.co.kr/english/news/industry/1505-samsung-group-marking-300-trillion-won-revenue-500-trillion-total-assets But I dont like that Samsung are dominated in too many areas. Smartphones, semiconductor, SSD, AMOLED display, LCD/LED TV and whatever more. More competition leads to better quality products and lower prices. I don't mind if they decide to start with OLED TV, to lower the ridiculous prices current OLED TV cost at release and only Samsung can change that. If they decide to start with OLED TV.
