i really really despise wide angle front cameras, the whole part of taking a selfie is to take a picture of yourself not 99% of your surroundings too because its a wide angle. plus theres the massive distortion and stretching around the edges due to the unnecessarily large field of view.

You are not taking a selfie to win a photo contest and wide angle is important as when you have few people in a selfie it helps a lot. Not to mention it helps a lot when you wanna do a selfie and have a nice background behind

Don't use the feature then, problem solved. Remember, it's all about choice.

Dark, It's build into the lens of s5/s6. can't turn it off. It was pretty terrible on the s5, but since I've gotten my s6 it isn't as bad.

But when I use my front camera on my edge, I press mode and wide selfie comes up as well as selfie mode. Wide mode makes you pan from left to right, selfie mode just snap it.

Yeah the wide selfie is the feature. I meant more of the distortion. Like if you turn on the front camera and hold your phone almost parallel to the ground like right below your chin, you can see the distortion. Not that anyone takes pictures that way, but you can see how it could mess up things in certain positions.

The front facing camera, makes it easier to take pictures of yourself, that you normally would try to take with the rear camera. Usually by having someone do it for you. Its not really just about taking a picture of yourself. Its more of taking a picture by yourself. Understand? See, when I take shots of a skyline, I can easily be in the shot without gimmicky camera tricks. I don't have to ask a total stranger if he will snap the picture for me. Example, the Galaxy S has a feature which could put you in any phone you want. To me that's stupid. Just use the front facing camera and be there and you can do a wide angle shot to get more into the picture.

wide angle isnt a 'feature' its the construction of the lens itself, you cant just not use it

False. I have to choose to take a wide angle shot with the front cam on the S6's

I don't see any research regarding the relationship between dumbness and selfies.

If you want to understand the relationship between dumbness and selfies, go take a listen the song "selfie" by the chainsmokers. It's hip, it's trendy and it's dumb as hell, oh and not to mention it's a hit among the edm crowd which are mostly teenagers. So there you go

I am aware that many dumb people takes selfies all the time, and I surely wont listen to that song for I'm sure it's really dumb, but it there is still no direct relation between selfies and intelligence level, I know 120+ iq people who likes to take selfies, but there are also below 100 ones. Heck even RDJ takes selfies with his M7 lol

I think it all started where people taking pictures in the bathroom alone, mostly shirtless and that saids a lot, its pretty dumb. Now it became a hip thing to do, but somehow lost the purpose of taking photos. Instead of having someone to take a picture for you that will capture the background, people rather take a close up selfie that you cant even tell where and when it was taken.

my wife now chooses my s6 selfie cam over her ip6 cam. it's much clearer and takes better selfie pics. plus u don't have to reach out with your arm to take the pic. it looks normal like both arms are down

iPhone 6 of course. Even the Note 4, S6/Edge, Z3, LG G4 has the best camera, best screen resolution, S-Pen, multi tasking, 3GB RAM, 16MP, 20MP, water & dust proof.

Apple needs to step up the new iphone hardware big time, for me to buy it. I sold my 6 plus, and am currently using only my edge. I miss some things about my iphone, but if the new ones don't entice me, I'll just buy a used one. I kinda regret selling it, but got good value for it.

I don't see where I'd need two flagships from the same platform. I'm very much an iPhone guy too, I just need to see more from Apple spec wise.

That's one of good thing for iPhone because when you sell in very good condition the price still in high. Not just like any android phones. I love my iPhone 6 as always and looking forward to get the new iPhone 6S or 7

I found a 64 gig 6 plus gold for $400 on Craigslist. The lady wanted $450, but wasn't getting any takers, so she sold it to me for $400. Currently restoring it, glad to back with both.
