Samsung is not giving up on the entry-level Android tablet market, new device coming soon
Samsung is gearing up to launch not one, but at least two new Android tablets. We reported back in December about a new mid-range Galaxy Tab A tablet will be unveiled in Q1 2019, and now we have information about another tablet that might be revealed at the same time.

We don't yet know the name of the tablet, but it appeared online with model number SM-T515. The fact that the tablet packs just 2GB RAM makes us believe this is meant for the entry-level market.

The good news is Samsung has abandoned Android Oreo and is now putting the latest Android 9 Pie operating system to all of its devices, including this affordable tablet. At the core of the SM-T515 tablet sits Samsung's Exynos 7885 chipset, a decent processor for an entry-level slate, the same the powers phones like the Galaxy A8 (2018).

We have yet to learn the size of the tablet's display, but it could either sport a 7-inch or 10.5-inch screen. Now, it remains to be seen if Samsung will have the tablet showcased next month at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019, or the South Korean company will wait until after the Galaxy S10 announcement.
