I've always found it amusing that year after year people expect companies to come out with revolutionary advancements like it is that easy. There is a reason that huge improvements are few and far between for any industry. It is a not as simple as just deciding to do something revolutionary. And even if you come up with some insane concept, there are always cost and practicality limitations. Not to mention resisting the idea of doing something just to do it, with no regard as to whether or not it will actually improve the product.

The fact that the email itself was leaked says otherwise ;)

It sure would be nice to actually be surprised by a phone reveal....but alas, that just isn't possible these days because of the deep fascination surrounding upcoming phones. I mean, we knew the design of the iPhone 6/Plus and iPhone 7/Plus several months before they went official. It's just how things are...we got CAD renders of the S7 a few months before the device was officially revealed as well, which turned out to be completely accurate.

On the other hand, some launches like the V20 and the note 6 were pretty non-leaky. Same happened with the S6 in 2015 and all we knew was project zero and nothing else. If a company wants, it can keep secrets. Let's just hope it happens this time. Also they might 'leak' some false rumors to confuse us.

Well as long as that company isn't HTC. I remember back when the M9 leaked, the CEO took to twitter to basically say the leak wasn't real and that we'd be surprised by the actual device...and the actual device ended up being exactly what was in the leaks. Lying for the sake of lying once the cat's out of the bag, just seems really petty.

Lame duck battery life on iPhone. Wrong. My 6s plus gets better life then my Note 3. Good grief.
