Samsung has the Sprint version of the 64GB Galaxy S8+ for as low as $8 a month

Surely you've noticed that as we get closer to the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ a month from tomorrow, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ drops. This also applies to the 2017 Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. On Sammy's own website, you can now pick up an Artic Silver 64GB Galaxy S8+ for only $194. This works out to $8.08 a month for 24 months. 

The same phone in Midnight Black is priced at $244, or 24 monthly payments of $10.17. In Orchid Gray, you'll have to pay $544 or $22.67 a month over 24 months. So this begs the question, are you looking for a bargain, or do you need the phone in a specific color? Samsung is signing up users of the device to test beta versions of Android 9 Pie, so this phone will soon be updated to the latest Android build. There is a caveat; the units on sale are locked to Sprint.

And if you're not particularly happy with Sprint, you can try to gut it out for a little period of time. Then, you can call Sprint and request that the carrier unlock your Galaxy S8+. Keep in mind though that Sprint warns "even if unlocked, Sprint SIM unlock-capable devices may not work on another carrier's network. Whether an unlocked Sprint device can be used on another carrier's network is subject to that carrier's policies and network compatibilities."

The phones ship from Samsung starting on January 23rd.
