If the device gets me 1$ more than its cost and the added value of a standard device, being just as easy to get, I have no problem paying even 5k.

The idea of a folding device might be enough for people wanting to spend. whatever the result; I won't be a beta tester.

I will not entertain it at that price, but will wait to see what happens with the mainstream version, and if not the Note 10 will be waiting for me!

Since the majority of Samsung fans won’t/can’t even spring for a Gear watch, I have a hard time believing they’ll want, or be able to, spend almost $2K on a phone.

People are already spending $1000+ for Galaxy S9/+ (the two highest selling phones this past month). Why wouldn't they "want, or be able to", spend $2K+?

Well if they can’t/won’t shell out a few hundred extra for what many here claim is “the best smartwatch!”, I have a hard time believing they’ll come up with another $1K (+/-) for a bendable phone.

You don't know what Samsung fans can and can't buy. You are just talking out your a$$ like always. Just because don't want to spend their money on something doesn't mean they can't.

Actually yes I do know what Samsung fans can or can’t/won’t buy-the Gear watch, at least in any discernible amounts. Answer this; The Gear watches are compatible with many, many more phones than the Apple Watch. Now, given that Samsung fans tend to claim the Gear series is the best smart watch, wouldn’t it stand to reason the Gear watches would handily outsell the Apple Watches? Yet the Apple Watch outsells the Gear watches by a wide margin. sissy246 please help me understand.

Probably because most Apple watches are bought for one reason. Brand! Most buyers just want a fashion accessory, they think anything from Apple makes them cool. It has nothing to do with what is actually the best device or what they can afford.

Forget the Apple Watch-why isn’t the Gear selling better?
