after the Behold 2, Samsung's lost me, the design and janky UI left a bad taste in my mouth, even if this one isn't using that touchwiz suber cube crap. It does look nice, though. If only I could mess w/ it [>

Its using TouchWiz 3.0, so you can "look forward" to seeing all their smartphones having a UI like that (the Wave also has it).

exactly! nowadays people need to be more innovative and unique and not just coming up with the same ideas over and over again..

The sad part is you can't change much in a phone anymore. Now is the time where software rules and maybe after some time we can get back to hardware.

I have to disagree. MOST parts of hardware have reached a diversity peak. However, battery life as phones becomes more advanced is going ot be a huge issue. Right now the two options are improved battery life with reduced functionality(due to creatively throtalling load on processing) or simply eating battery life to run more involved prcesses. I'm playing around with an N900 right now and know that I can kill my battery by making certain decisions in terms of how I use it during the day. Whoever wins the battery arms race will have a huge advantage in being able to push increased functionality and power onto the general user.

Sounds very nice! Maybe Samsung is finally beginning to learn that if you cant beat em - you join em. This might just be the device which will make people forget about the disaster the Nexus one was - even though it was a completely different company. Maybe we will finally have a 1 ghz android phone that works. I just hope it too will have 512+ ram. And thus I say to Samsung - forget all this Wave\bada\ocean\touchwiz whatever stuff - You cant beat something thats already out there. And out there it is. Its either Android or Apple. There is 0 place for something else. Focus on making more Android devices - and push Nokia away from its current position and take its place!

Your definitely right about it being android or apple here in USA thats why web OS failed and it was a good OS but bada might make in Asia but definitely not here.

Wow I guess I'm the first commented to say it but.....WHAT THE FUCK? is this a samsung iPhone? Am I the only one that sees the VERY obvious clone of the iPhones UI? ok added features are apparent but the home screen is nearly identical. Even the amount of icons and the dock. Even the look of the icons is so similar it's uncanny. This is not parallel development making a similar ui because it just works great this is "hey they did it tight so let's copy". I wouldve preferred to see bada though. If not for the different OS then for the different UI.
