Samsung cuts the price of the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet by $100 for a limited time only
Tablet shipments dropped 3.4% year-over-year during 2017 with Samsung ending the year as the second largest manufacturer of the device. With a market share roughly half that of Apple's, Samsung is looking to ignite some sales by cutting the price of the Galaxy Tab S3 by $100, or 18%, to $449.99. This is a limited time offer, and by no coincidence it comes right after Apple launched its new low-priced iPad.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 features a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display carrying a resolution of 1536 x 2048. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is equipped with a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.15GHz. Crunching graphics is the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of native storage (24GB is available to users). Those seeking additional storage can find a 400GB capacity microSD slot on the slate.

On back of the tablet is a 13MP camera with an aperture of f/1.9, and there is a front-facing 5MP selfie snapper on board. Keeping the lights on is a 6000mAh battery, and the tablet is currently running Android 8.0.

The Galaxy Tab S3 features a quad speaker setup, and the S Pen comes with the device. What doesn't come out of the box is the optional $129.99 Keyboard cover that adds a QWERTY keyboard to the tablet.
