Samsung built A7 processor rocks the new Apple iPhone 5s

Samsung has provided many of the parts for the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad over the years; but this year, there were some who believed that Apple had reached an agreement with TSMC to replace Samsung as the provider of the A7 processor that drives the Apple iPhone 5s. But apparently that deal won't take affect until 2014...

You forgot that even their design language is borrowed from Sony. Apple is nothing by itself...

Where do you think Samsung would be without google? They write terrible software. That's apples strength. Samsungs is hardware. Samsung would be nothing without apple or google as well. They copied designs from apple (as evident by their pre iPhone days) and the my have fully capitalized on with android (good for them btw)

It's the other way around. You should be asking where would Google be without Samsung. Samsung is credited for the success of Android since their first flagship, the Galaxy S.

bro,its HTC thats first took the plunge with google, they made the first android phone and took the most risk but get zero credit from anyone that only remember today news what samsung did differently is pay big marketing fee to convert human into dumdroid

It's more of a mutual benefit relationship. Without Android, Samsung wouldn't have even a third of the market share they have today; and without Samsung, it would've taken Android much longer to gain market share. They both would have a hard time without each other, stop trying to make it sound like Samsung is the God of the mobile realm and that they can do anything they want.

I think you forget Motorola. Moto is credited with making android a success with the motodroid. The galaxy s 3 was the first android device to really beat out iPhone single handedly, but because of the popularity of the Droid line, android started to sell more than apple as a whole. Without a versatile OS like android Samsung would've stuck with feature phones and windows, which wasn't winning any battles for them or HTC at the time. Without android Samsung would not be where it is. But without Samsung, Moto and HTC would've thrived and taken android where Samsung has taken it.

Thanx Samsung, cuz this puppy has horse power. I wish these two got along better, but let's be real. They're not as into it as we think they are.

Exactly, it's about money for them, but people on here it's about bragging rights and purchase justification. It would be great if the two tech giants could get along though, their battles negatively affect a lot of tech decisions.

How do you like your beautiful new toy? Is battery life good? Just got an iPhone 5 (close-out) a week ago, and I am pretty pleased with it, I like it. Waiting for your nice review. Thanks Darkkjedii.

To be honest I've had minimal time to dig in. I'm getting married at 5pm pct today so I won't get much time to play with it till like Monday. So far though, very very fast, silky smooth? And lotsa features. Can't say for sure about battery life yet, But when I bought it it was 87% charged at 8:20 am, and made it till 12:55 this morning before it pooped out. Camped out at AT&T with my girl to be second in line.

Not to be rude but are you getting married to a smartphone? If I was getting married, I wouldn't even think twice and smartphone, wouldn't even mention it never the less that battery life. I'd rather be thinking about my life than using my phone and checking, logging and remembering what percentage battery it has.

It's amazing how many iFans think Samsung is Android these days. Such a generalised statement. It's like saying that Apple's lazy and greedy and, oh wait...never mind.

Touchwiz is used by far more people than stock android or any other fork of Android. To most people using a smartphone Touchwiz is Android.

Now let's just imagine how many iPhone suicide fanboys will have arround if Samsung just raise his middle finger and say: "no more parts from us coz u play nasty, manipulate and Pupetmaster, users, suplyers and courtrooms".....

And yes true interesting fact: “Last quarter, Samsung Electronics made more money selling handsets than Apple for the first time" Samsung’s operating profit for handsets was an estimated $5.2 billion in the second quarter of 2013. Apple, meanwhile, had an estimated operating profit of $4.6 billion. Add to this all the money Samy is making from selling chips to Apple and you know where to place your money next time when you have to invest in some stock shares.....

fandroid really fandroid, how bout looking at galaxy s4 for example: accelerometer sensor - Stmicroelectronics light sensor - capella Orientation sensor - Stmicroelectronics proximity - capella Gyrometer - Stmicroelectronics sound sensor - Infineon magnetic sensor - Asahi pressure sensor - STM CPU - Qualcomn snapdragon architecture GPU - Krait (ARM architecture) OS - Google Android Samsung never design anything, they buy everything, piece together the hardware call SoC,brand it to fandroid as "exynos" Samsung only in house design is their bloatware
