Samsung announces SPH-A800 -  the first 2 megapixel camera phone for the U.S.

Among the phones which Samsung introduced at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is SPH-A800 which is the first 2 megapixels camera phone in U.S. It is CDMA (800/1900) + AMPS phone and is expected to be available from Sprint PCS. The main features of the device are:

 

  • 262k color TFT display
  • 2 megapixels camera with flash
  • MPEG4 recording
  • VOD/Video Messaging
  • CDMA2000 1xRTT data technology
  • TransFlash memory expansion slot
  • JAVA 2.0 support
  • 3D Java Games
