Samsung and HTC 4G phones coming this year
Congratulations 4G fans, HTC EVO 4G will not be the only 4G handset available in the US this year. Clearwire (Sprint’s 4G company) announced its plans to launch a couple of phones – one from Samsung and one from HTC. Both will be 3G/4G/Wi-Fi phones, that will use Sprint’s network for voice calls. Тhe Samsung will run on Android and be “optimized for heavy video and video communications use”, while the HTC phone will … not be the EVO 4G. It may be one of the last Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets, or (crossing fingers!) one of the first Windows 7 phones.

I can't wait for the day all you Sprint suckers boot up your 4g phones and realise the internet is not as fast as your little dreams make it out to be. And you'll be tied in to that schmuck diving carrier for another 2 years, or you'll pay 600$ just to be "untied". Now, granted the Evo 4g will be a sick phone, cheers to HTC, but you'll be tinkering with all the features in all its glory still logging around the sad company with its sad limited 4g network. 100 bucks says the first person who boots it up and surfs the web isn't impressed at all. I pulled 9mbps at my home WiFi with my Droid Incredible, sounds like I have 5g to Sprints 4g - seeing the best you'll pull from it will be a Rev A network on a speed boost. Point is its too early in the game they're rated speeds don't exceed 3 to 5 mbps, and you get WiFi just about anywhere now, anywhere worth stopping and browsing that is. Well you guys will never see the point, Good luck suckers ill enjoy my Incredible you enjoy helping hold up a sinking ship.

You are stuck with vzw so that $600 is what you would have to pay to get out of contract. The Evo will have WiFi too and the speeds quoted are average, they can top what you get from WiFi at times. There will be a chance for a 4G phone, next year but be prepared to pay even more than you do now

Some times people really let you in on how ignorant they are. You are seriously comparing what the phones speed is on your WiFi at home and saying that's better than 4G? I can pull 10-12mb at home and on the road with 4G I can pull 7mb unlike your incredible which maxes out at 3.1 here's a quote right off the web page for the phone "Dual-band (800 and 1900MHz) CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEVDO/1xEVDO rev. A and IS-95A/B voice or data with up to 1.8 Mbps uplink and 3.1 Mbps downlink speeds" So your 9 just got cut to 3 while I"m still at 7 good try though, maybe research something before making ignorant posts.

But ETFs are for quitter and poor service choosers. I'm with VZW my coverage is perfect my incredible is bad ass and my rates are reasonable. So spat early termination to your own loser friends who have to quit every provider because there babies, simple math, chose Verizon, the winners.

Yeah ok doosh. Have surfing while driving ding dong. When was the last place you stopped to surf the web that didn't have WiFi. Or does your poor ass take the bus so you need something to occupy your time. I browse at work, WiFi, home, WiFi, hmm the mall, WiFi, Starbucks, McDonald's, 90% of every hotel has WiFi, except the dime motel where I eff your mom. Every well established business and the 1000 square feet surrounding them in the parking lot has wifi, my hassle free 4g. You wanna brag about your garbage 4g while your commuting to work and posting bullshit on phonearena go ahead but don't begin to think that justifies the cost. I'll take flawless no drop 3g voice and WiFi virtually everywhere over your crappy cell coverage, wannabe phone service. Your numbers are flawed as well look at the projected MAX speed Sprint posts on its website 5mps, whooopidy doo, I better switch to sprint the first people to pretend they have 4g. Just admit when LTE is out your going to switch and quit riding the first comes first train. Sprint is a taking ship. You fanboys gotta start paddling, or get afloat the SS Verizon, or you and your 400 dollar phone are gonna get wet.
