Samsung OMNIA HD - not an OMNIA any more
Funny thing about humans - we tend to remember names much easier than numbers. So, we bet most of you have heard of OMNIA HD by now but only a few have remembered that its model number is the i8910. It seems that it is time to get accustomed to these numbers, as according to MobileCrunch, Samsung has decided to drop the OMNIA HD moniker and to refer to the phone as the i8910 only. The decision has been taken in order to “…avoid confusion between the original Omnia, which is Windows Mobile, and OmniaHD, which is Symbian…”.

If this is true, the OMNIA family name will be left for WM phones only. However, we prefer the OMNIA HD name to the i8910 model, and you?
