while some people will continually disprove 1080p screens, it also serves to prove that apple will be outpaced very quickly and every other company is more innovative. now, let's see what bluray movies i can enjoy on these phones.

1080p displays are just the beginning for smartphones, I can't wait for the time that they'll be making a full hd 1080p screen with 3d

2014! I don't like 3D though, unless it's IMAX certified. lol

3D may not be much of a fad but i would be skeptical to think that it would be any different on a mobile device. Even something like the Note II, it would not impress me much to see 3D. Projection technology where objects on the screen can be projected above it seems like a more intriguing tech to me.

I have seen it several times but this article outlines it nicelyhttp://www.cultofmac.com/173702/why-retina-isnt-enough-feature/
Apple just calls it retina display for two reasons, to define their display as extraordinary, and to make it so that any display that is "better" seem unnecessary. As someone with better than 20/20 vision, I can tell you that more is still better. not to mention that even someone with less than "perfect" vision will still benefit as explained by this article.

Although I think that Full HD screens are a pleasure to see, I do not think they are required for many with a 720p screen to upgrade to. The reason is simple. Although higher HD is always a plus, 720p is still HD so it will look very good on such a small display. Yes, you can stream 1080p to your device or watch 1080p videos on youtube but I do not think its enough to warrant upgrading if you already have the HD screen. Its what I like to call a nice to have thing but thats it.

Apple doesn't know HD their screen will be no high than 620P. every other company will have 720P right now now going into higher resolution to 1080P FULL HD. Apple is still far behind.

Its pretty clear that not many people here know about the IGZO technology that these new 1080 displays are using. Read up and do your homework.
