Samsung Internet Browser app now available for all Android phones running 5.0 or higher

Samsung's Internet Browser app, once limited to Samsung Galaxy, Nexus and Pixel handsets, is now available to any phone running on Android 5.0 or higher. This is a stable version of the browser, and is available from the Google Play Store and Galaxy Apps Store. The browser opens to the Google search page by default, although that can be changed on the settings page. You can also change the default search engine from Google to Yahoo, Bing or DuckDuckGo...

Just got my Pixel 2 XL my first new non Samsung phone since the S3. The first thing I did was install the browser. It’s the only great piece of software that Samsung has ever made. I’m missing nothing so far. I can’t believe how much better performance and stand by time is.

Download Adblock plus extension for Samsung browser and enable it. Websites , like this, load instantly for me, no ads ever. Amazing

They're also on the Play Store. I installed the Ad Guard app from the Paly Store and it's working seamlessly as an extension for Samsung Internet on my Note 8...

Its a great app, but it's hardly the only great software from Samsung. Samsung Pay is fantastic. In fact most of their installable software is really good. The bad stuff is things like S-Voice.

And bixby too I hate it ,also were they put the button on the s8 plus ,right below the volume , I always press it by accident when I'm watching a video or hearing music thinking it's the volume . And it's stops everything and it goes into Hi I'm bixby .. or sometimes when I'm getting it out of my pocket it presses by accident and it activates it .

I haven't given Bixby a good trial yet. Just disable the button in settings, no activation. Simple.

I disabled Bixby entirely with package disabler

Adblock, the reason I switched. Chrome on Android just didn't have anything to bring me back.

I use opera and chrome occasionally. I'll give this a shot.

Was doing EXACTLY the same on my OnePlus One (mostly Opera but Chrome occasionally) until I tried Samsung Internet. Now, it's the only browser on both my OnePlus One and Note 8.

You will probably need to wait a little or send feedback to Samsung

I can't use this application to on my OP5, but Samsung Internet(beta) I can and is fabulous. Try it, just go to Google play store and take the Beta app.

That's a big loss, the login is so convenient. But from what others have said, it's still very fast and smooth.

It just got better, too. Opened it today to a notification that browsing with the Samsung browser now earns me rewards just like Samsung Pay.
