Samsung came up with good watches for appropriate price, what apple did was good only for it's share holders. I never thought about buying smartwatch till this summer and when I did, only watch worth my money was gear S. If Samsung build watch like that I guess it will cost more than $2000 and apple will buy all material from Samsung.

Lol! And you know you're right!

True. Putting things out only 6 years ahead of apple can be considered rushing. http://www.samsung.com/us/aboutsamsung/news/newsIrRead.do?news_ctgry=irnewsrelease&news_seq=14162

Where do people get this 1.65 inch rumor from? It is dead wrong and stupid, stop quoting it. The SDK showed this watch has a 305 ppi and 360x360 resolution. The screen size has to be 1.18 inches with those specs, period. If those specs are wrong then it is a whole different situation. A 1.65 inch watch will turn off 80% of the population, that is even bigger than the Moto 360.

They calculated diagonal for square, rookie geometry mistake. If they calculate the diameter of circle that can fit in square with 1.65 inch diagonal they will get right size i.e. 1.18 inch.

In this case it's not a diagonal :P ... it's called a diameter!

The Gear 's is already a fairly amazing piece. Considering Samsung release several watches that were tied to a phone and they were ridiculed for it. 2 years later, Apple does the EXACT SAME THING, and it's the most wonder thing since sliced bread. The Apple Watch barely lasts a day and it doesn't even have its own WIFI or GPS, what is ducking up so much juice? While the Gear 's has wifi, gps, uv, 3g, a full amoled display that is bigger and has a higher resolution vs the Apple Watch and if you leave the 3G off will last nearly 2 full work days on a single chargw. Hopefully this one will be better and have a very nice design compared to the Moto 360. Would be nice if deva would just abandon working with the limited boring Apple.Watch and pish Tizen apps. It can't be that hard since Tizen is a NIX based OS. Samsung is doing a 1-2-3 punch with the new Tab 's tablets, new phone and watch too. STOKED FOR UNPACK 2015 PART DEUX

Seriously apple watch is nothing in front of gear S. The sad part is most of the people even don't know that it exists. I do hope gear A will be as good or better with longer battery life. Samsung was working on new SOC, hope they ake it in 14nm with dual A53 or 1 x A57 + 1 x A53. Also Samsung could have done better with tablets, hope they launch better note tablet. PS you missed U in UNIX.

But the huge display makes it look like a phone.

Because it is a phone.

Not really into a circular display so I'll stick with my gear S.

Looking forward to this one. Gear S is way too big. And it just looks ugly. I want a watch, not an 80's geek mini computer attached to my arm.
