Galaxy S8 should be getting the August security update patch, too
Hey, you! Got a Galaxy S8 or a Galaxy S8+?

If the answer is a resounding, notchless "yes!", then you should probably start looking out for a new software update that's set to hit your device pretty soon.

Boasting the full-fledged August security patch, which should theoretically bring a nice piece of mind to even the most conscious security zealots out there. The software update is also introducing improvements to Samsung's Game Launcher app, which weirdly translates to "turn on Game Launcher and use more of samsung's game services" from German to English.

The build number of the software update is G950FXXU3CRGH and has been first sighted in Germany, but it should likely arrive to most other Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices pretty soon. It should appear automatically on your device as soon as it's available, allowing you to update by simply tapping the respective notification in your notifications pane.

Should you not trust technology in the slightest, you could also manually check for the update by heading to your settings menu and manually check if it's already available for your device.

Supposedly, a similar update should hit the Galaxy S8+. Be patient enough and you should get it.
