Samsung Galaxy S7 Android 8.0 Oreo update pushed back to mid-May
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge are probably anxious to get the highly-anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update, but it looks like they'll have to wait a while longer. Although previous rumors suggested the update may arrive in mid-April, it appears that Samsung may have pushed back the release of Android Oreo until next month.

According to the new scheduler published by a Turkish website used by Samsung for official announcements, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge should receive Android 8.0 Oreo updates on May 18. It's worth mentioning that the Galaxy S7/S7 edge Android 8.0 Oreo update is not the only one that's been delayed.

Samsung Galaxy A7, A5, and A3 (2017) are now expected to get the update on June 1, one week later than the Turkish website run by Samsung previously announced. Keep in mind that these timeframes are only available for Turkey, but if they are accurate, other countries might get the updates around the same time.

Also, the unlocked Galaxy S7/S7 edge units are likely to be the first to be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, so if you have a carrier-bound model, you'll probably have to wait a bit longer.
