Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge feature showcase: Smart Manager

Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge feature showcase: Smart Manager
In case you somehow missed this awfully important bit of information, you should know that Samsung made a major step forward with its highly controversial, proprietary TouchWiz software. Based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, the version of the layout is the very latest available, and features a number of optimizations in terms of performance and visual clutter.

Still, we're talking about Samsung after all, so it shouldn't surprise you that despite the above, it still saw it fit to include a whole new app in the Galaxy S6's/S6 edge's software -- Smart Manager. We were pressed for time as we always are during major announcements, but we found a couple of minutes that we could dedicate to walking you through Smart Manager.

Check out the video to find out what it's all about.

Hmm... so samsung is taking features from chinese OEMs now? e.g. huawei has similar manager but more detailed which includes permission manager for controling the permissions of different apps. It is a great feature, I used to disable the ability of apps to access phone's mic, camera, contacts, sms etc

Task manager is something different which is available in all androids in different forms. Task manager doesnt have advance features. You can kill running tasks, move apps to and from sd card but it doesnt contain advance features of restricting apps permissions

I know! That screen looks amazing! If you are looking for a difference between 1080p and Quad HD, this phone will show the difference finally.

85% of RAM used... Without any games or big apps in the background... Hum, sound not that good. But maybe this is because it's a test device and all journalists play with it a lot, adding more and more RAM usage... Maybe...

Why to keep the ram vacant? Whats the benefit of putting extra ram when you want to keep it vacant?

what the hell is wrong with ram? 85% of 3 gb used?

There were like 20 apps left open while people tested it :) ... Not everyone closes apps when they finish doing whatever they do in their phones!
