S6 just because it has alot of design differences over the predecessors.. but honestly i would like to wait for a user review on both the devices...

Samsung Galaxy S6 has the same design language of S3. Samsung keep the same basic design for its flagship phones. But I'll commend Samsung for changing the material for the phone. M9 still wins in terms of design.

and HTC has the same design as the M8 and HTC One.

Well, duh. Isn't it pretty obvious? Samsung has the same basic design since S3 HTC has the same basic design since M7 Sony has the same basic design since Z Apple has the same basic design since iPhone. Each company has their own design language and it works as their identity. But in terms of looks I find M9 much better than looking than S6.

To everyone their own...but for me, M9 looks a little dumb. Galaxy has the smarter feel to it.

I wouldn't say Samsung has kept the same design language since the S3. The S6 Edge has a screen that wraps around the edges, and I think that's a pretty huge change - in both appearance and function. When you put your phone face down and you get a call in the middle of the night, the edged design allows you to see color eminate from the side. this allows you to see who is calling you (you can preset up to 5 contacts with 5 different colors) without even touching your phone.

just because it's curved on both side. doesn't mean it's not ugly.

Victor, he's right. You can't combine the S6 and the S6 edge into one choice. They're clearly very different products, and I'm surprised PA didn't differentiate between the two. What, did you get a bargain at the poll-store so long as you limited it to two options? For the record, I like the edge more than the One, but I like the One more than the S6, so even though I voted in your stupid poll, it inaccurately reflects my sentiment. I understand that these little polls are meant more to drive clicks and not relevant marketing data, so the results don't really have any practical bearing, but shame on a publication for not applying any apparent rigor to the field of their work. It looks like you don't really care.

Same exact boat. Disappointed in HTC not eliminating the black bar, and the lack of OIS in the camera. It seems like a full year wait and still the main issues we've had with their flagship has not been entirely addressed. Samsung however, has impressed me with the 6 Edge. To the point that I'm considering selling my Note 4 to get the 6 Edge. I do hate the lack of MicroSD support.... I have so many things on my 128GB SD card that I don't want to deal with the sacrifice.

P,was take that crap sd car out of your note 4 and transfer your main files over, the card lags out the phone big time, I got a edge and its helped big time for me

Both are slightly disappointing this year, HTC in design, and Samsung in software. Overall though, and i can't believe I'm saying this, I am indeed more impressed with the S6.

It's the same with me. I'm really impressed with the S6's hardware but not the software and the M9 seems more like a M8s. I'm probably going to skip both phones.
