Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6s dominate our blind camera comparison, LG G4 and iPhone 6 – not as much

Boy, that iPhone 6s has a pretty good camera, doesn't it? We probably won't be far from the truth if we say it's one of the best smartphone cameras around. But its high-end rivals don't lag far behind and might even outpace it in certain situations. At least that's what we can walk away with after examining the results of last week's blind camera comparison...

More than that, its trying to fit a narrative as well. Trying to appease both Samsung and Apple fans by giving each a win for some reason, and no night time/Low light shots at all. The former is obviously to start a comment war and the latter probably to hide the 6s's weaknesses.

You guys do play a lot.

PA!!!, you don't seems to amuse me. Why glorify the iphones more than the winner. In a test, we are looking for the first place. First place is first place. They took those photos, we don't know how roughly they handle to S6 to let it photos fall behind in certain test. What matters here is the S6 took first. I am not saying that iphone 6s has bad camera, it is very good but still behind.

The 6s took 3 out of 5 tests do the math the 6s won number of votes don't count it's number of wins. I don't know what rock of math you crawled out from under but it appears you need to go back to school. 3 out of 5 is better than 2 out of 5

That is really stupid...S6 is half a generation earlier than 6S, still it managed to beat 6S. If Note 5 would have been in this blind test, 6S would have been decimated

This isn't the final line, you have to combine the results here with something objective like DxoMark testing and maybe Anandtech (even though they're a bit Apple leaning), and then come to a conclusion.

The S6 and Note 5 have the exact same camera, so the S6 represents the Note 5, and S6 Edge+.

in my world, 3 out of 5 is WIN hands down, no matter how many votes the S6 received in total... and they should've done a low-light blind comparison too

When it comes to a race around a track and there are 500 laps. It doesn't matter if the original pole setter lead the race for 499 laps, if someone passes him in the very last lap close to the finish line, that is the winner. It doesn't matter if your favorite basketball team lead the whole game and the other team came back and beat them in overtime. You dont get to declare the winner based on how many rounds they won. if a boxer beat the crap out of the other guy for 10 rounds, and the othet guy knocks his ass out in round 11 and the othe guy can't get back up, it is still a TKO. Get over boy, you lost. A win is a win no matter how many rounds were lost. The fact si bruh, the iPhone could have won all the rounds but one. If the S6 were to get all 4500 votes in just one round, it still won. You dont get to go against the winner we voted for. You and PA are just a bunch of sore losers! You all make me sick. Apple fanboys are the worse. You hate to lose, and when you do win you don't know how to win gracefully, which is what makes every win we get so awesome. Because we know its burns you up that consistently for what has now be 3 years in a row, Samsung has kicked Apple's ass where it matters.

Let's try a different sports analogy. Say the Mets and the Dodgers are playing for the NL pennant. Completely hypothetical best of 5 series. Game 1: Mets, 3-1 Game 2: Dodgers, 5-2 Game 3: Mets, 3-2 Game 4: Dodgers, 9-2 Game 5: Mets, 4-3 By your logic, LA just won the series.

Yep in your world. Based on Round, the iPhone 6S takes the cake. But If you look at each round, the S6 ranks 1st in 2 rounds and ranks 2nd for 3 rounds. The iPhone 6S ranks 1st in 3 rounds rank 2nd in 1 round and rank 3rd in 1 round. The S6 never fell to rank 3 as the iPhone 6s (scene 4). Moreover in the scenes where the S6 won, it gains more than twice the votes as the iPhone 6S (substantial difference). That didn't happen on the rounds the iPhone 6S won. The iPhone 6S has a really good camera though, much better than the iPhone 6 and iPhone users should be happy with that. But I do think the S6 is the winner here, based on ranks and overall votes.

That can't handle the fact that win the Galaxy wins, it burns their buttocks. It doesn't matter that the iPhone 6S may open better optimized apps for a single platform faster. What is goign to matter is daily usage tasks liek taking pictures. The fact is the Galaxy S6 and its siblings are already 3 quarters old and the iPhoen 6S is brand new and still in its first quarter and it can't be an older phone and a simple task as taking pictures. What I would like to see if, the iPhone 6S in a camera test with phones that have the exact sensor size as far as megapixels. Pit the iPhone 6S against the Galaxy Note 3 which also has a 12MP sensor. Even though the Galaxy S5 is a year old going on 2 years, lets see how such a phone would stand up to the latest iPhone. Especially use the S5 that has Samsung's own IOSCELL instead of the Sony sensor. What has been interesting too is, both apple and Samsung use Sony's sensor in the camera. Looks like that bigger camera hump on the Galaxy, which is full of better optics for photos matters more than its looks with the bump.
