Edge actually makes the readable screen smaller, 5 fav really don't matter to me, I have over 2,500 contacts, think I'm gonna get the regular

Prepare to empty your savings, pre-orders are underway in the UK and the edge 64gb price is astronomical.

When common people see $300 for S6 and $200 for iPhone on contract, I am sure they will go for the latter.

The s6 will cost 200$ on contract same as the iphone 6 but the edge will most likely be 300$

The carrier can choose to subsidize as much of the price as they want. The S6 will likely still be $650 off contract and 199.99 or 249 on contract. while the Edge could b $699 off and 299 on contract. The basic S has never been more than 199.99 that I can remember, so I don't expect it to be any different. In fact, I am hoping the carriers subsidize the S6 down to 149 and make the S6 Edge be 199.99 so they can sell out in a manner of minutes. At least with Samsung, on release day if you didn't pre-order, you can walk right in and by the latest Samsung with no issue. Samsung doesn't believe in increasing demand by inflating shortages.

Have fun with your cheap Chinese hardware that's unreliable, unsupported and stuffs low quality parts and doesn't optimize them for the all the numbers they boast on a spec sheet. The rest of us who want quality can and will afford it.

the iphone has similar prices and it broke sales records. plus most ppl will get them on contract for 200$ s6 and 300$ for the edge.

+1 People are losing all type of common sense, and forgetting what is important. I though the same thing, $700 for a phone, repeat after me, a phone. I don't care if it is Apple, HTC, Samsung etc. Lets review: fragile devices, you have to purchase extra accessories to protect them; no SD cards; non-removable batteries; lucky if the battery last thirteen hours; and can't immerse in water. I'll be happy with last years flagships. A fool and his money are soon parted.

As opposed to spending your money on what else? Eating out, clubs, movies etc etc. Those are not quintessential things to survival. Why do you care about what people spend their money on?

They may not be quintesstial things for survival, but it shows discipline and placing priorities in an order where phones don't execute the same logic in survival. If you put your phone before eating out, going to clubs, movies etc, you deserve to get ripped off from these manufacturers. John B.

You're putting so much spin and subjective opinion into this, it's hard to take your argument seriously. Whose getting ripped off? Why should they feel ripped off? What if a person who had an S5 or prior flagship model never used a spare battery or expandable memory, despite having these options available to them? Should they feel ripped off by the S6 not having these options?

you just wrote everything we android people have been telling you apple people for the last 5 years. go pay 700 for your apple watch that does nothing and lasts 4 or 5 hours.

27. engineer-1701d unregistered

you would pay 7oo or more for steel apple watch, or 300 for android wear but 700 for latest tech way ahead of all others and you say no, wtf is wrong with you

If the free charging pad is through Best Buy, then most likely it will be for contract phones only, just like it was for the Note 4 trade in promo. Best Buy blows.

no need for pre orders. in all galaxy releases the phones are readily available in stores and not sold out. this release is no different considering the s6edge is just a smaller variant of the note 4 edge with an extra edge

Well, they had like 10 million preorders for the S5 and S4 each, and neither of them had anywhere near the buzz this has. So maybe they know what they're doing.

Also, I should add, I preordered my Note 4, and had to wait almost a month after release to get it because it was sold out.
