2015 is just around the corner, and the probability to stumble upon a leak or a rumor of some of the more anticipated smartphones to land next year grows by the day. One of these devices is the Samsung Galaxy S6, also known as Samsung's Project Zero, a device that might reportedly get announced at CES 2015.
We already know that the handset will probably roll under the SM-G920F model number, which will reportedly be the European variation of the handset. That being said, Samsung has sent a SM-G920F to India for research and development purposes (the South Korea giant sends a large number of its handsets in development there). The device got caught at Zauba, an import/export tracking website. If the SM-G920F turns out to be the real deal, odds are that Samsung might surprise us pleasantly very, very soon.
Unfortunately, the Zauba listing reveals close to nothing about the purported Galaxy S6 that has landed in arrived in India. The SM-G920F is valued at INR18,938, which translates to $300 - we highly doubt that Samsung's flagship will flaunt such a price tag, it will probably cost twice as much initially. Then again, the prices listed at Zauba do not represent the real price of the to-be-launched device.
As far as the specs of the Galaxy S6 are concerned, we know nothing for sure. It's said to come with a Snapdragon 810 chipset (or Samsung's next Exynos in select versions), 3GB of RAM, and a Quad HD display of unknown size. Design-wise, we heard that Samsung will be designing the phone from the ground and will probably use aluminum or other metal alloy as a build material. Odds are that we might get treated to a dual-Edge display version of the phone.
