Samsung Galaxy S10E branding mentioned again, this time by reliable tipster

According to rumors, the Galaxy S10E will make its debut as the first Samsung-branded flagship to feature a flat display since 2016’s Galaxy S7. This cost-cutting measure should allow it to be priced significantly lower than its premium siblings. In fact, Samsung may choose to undercut Apple’s iPhone XR by pricing it at around $700. But fortunately for consumers, performance won’t be affected.

As revealed by a recent benchmark, the budget flagship will arrive powered by the powerful Exynos 9820 in most international markets. In the US and South Korea, though, this will be replaced with Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855. In both cases, the chips match the ones set to land inside the Galaxy S10 and S10+.

In regards to other features, the Galaxy S10E is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. The specifications of these sensors remain unclear at the minute, but one of them should feature a telephoto lens, as seen on the Galaxy Note 9.

Completing the whole package is set to be a 3,100mAh battery paired with Android 9 Pie and the new One UI overlay on top. The device is also rumored to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Much like the larger Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, the Galaxy S10E should go official on February 20th in both San Francisco and London simultaneously. Pre-orders will likely commence immediately while shipments should start around March 8.
