Samsung Galaxy S10 & Galaxy S10+ press renders show off launch colors

Joining the unusual white finish will also be a new green variant. This, however, isn’t the popular Emerald Green tone that Samsung previously used on the Galaxy S6. In fact, the color actually looks more like the aqua-like Emerald Green tone Huawei announced last October with the Mate 20 Pro.

Unsurprisingly, these two launch colors will also be joined by Samsung’s usual black model in Europe. Interestingly enough, though, there’s no sign of the purple and gray models that have previously been released. Instead, the only other color Samsung reportedly has up its sleeves is blue but, according to the report, this won’t be available immediately. Of course, availability in other regions could differ.

Samsung has gone all-in with its triple-camera setup

Taking a look at the design Samsung has chosen for its latest flagships, both models make use of Galaxy Note 9-like horizontal camera setups on the rear. This time around, though, a third camera has been added to the mix. 

According to previous leaks, the main sensor will resemble the one found on last year’s Galaxy flagships. This means users should expect a 12-megapixel variable aperture camera that can drastically improve photography in low-light conditions when required.

The second sensor, which is said to boast a resolution of 13-megapixels, will apparently arrive coupled with a telephoto lens. Much like Samsung’s previous flagships, this should be capable of 2x optical zoom, although an upgrade to 3x optical zoom isn't yet off the cards.

Completing the triple-camera layout will be a new 16-megapixel sensor which is fitted with a wide-angle lens. At the moment, this sensor’s exact details remain unclear. Nevertheless, it will give users the opportunity to capture much more in their images. Samsung may also introduce an LG-like function whereby users can capture photos simultaneously using all three cameras.

Two last features worth pointing out on the rear are the dual-tone LED flash and heart rate monitor which sit side by side and are aligned with the triple-camera setup.

Infinity-O displays coupled with powerful processors

Moving over to the front of both devices, Samsung has once again equipped its next-gen flagships with curved AMOLED panels. This time around, though, they look slightly different.

Gone are the old Infinity Displays and in their places are new Infinity-O panels complete with extremely thin side bezels, slim top bezels, and drastically reduced chins. The displays also incorporate ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners and include punch-holes in the top-right corner. However, the Galaxy S10 uses a circular one to house its selfie camera while the Galaxy S10+ boasts a pill-shaped one which is also home to a Time-of-Flight sensor. As a result of the latter, Samsung’s largest flagship should support facial recognition and could also offer improved bokeh selfie.

Rounding out the external package of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ is a dedicated Bixby button, a volume rocker, and a power key. Both smartphones also include a bottom-firing speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

In addition to a premium exterior, Samsung’s flagship will also pack some seriously impressive internals. Over in the US, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 will power the smartphone while the European models will receive Samsung’s own Exynos 9820.

The base models of both are expected to carry 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If this isn't enough, European consumers should also be able to purchase an 8/512GB model. A Galaxy S10+ variant with 1TB of storage and 12GB of RAM will also be available to purchase, although only in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White finishes.

Lastly, Android 9 Pie straight out of the box complete with Samsung’s One UI overlay will be on board. In the case of the Galaxy S10, a recent certification revealed that a 3,300mAh battery would be present. The larger model, on the other hand, will gain access to a large 4,000mAh cell.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will be officially introduced on February 20th alongside the cheaper Galaxy S10e and the company’s first foldable smartphone. The brand is also rumored to be preparing a new smartwatch, a duo of fitness trackers, and a pair of wireless earbuds.

As suggested by the leaked render from earlier today, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ should be released on March 8th in most international markets. Pricing remains unconfirmed at the moment but the Galaxy S10+ should start at around $900, while the Galaxy S10 could cost $100 less.
