Samsung Galaxy S to be introduced June 29th, launched on T-Mobile July 21st?
Samsung has just sent out an invitation to see the next generation in Android smartphones on June 29th in New York City. It sounds like the Samsung Galaxy S is about to be introduced to the American public. Earlier today, we told you that a CDMA version of Samsung's Android Superphone, might be made available for Verizon. This speculation comes from Forbes which has written that Samsung's phone will launch on all four top U.S. carriers. Forbes writes that three of the new features that Steve Jobs presented at the WWDC during his iPhone presentation yesterday were brought up to fight back against Samsung. Jobs noted the sleek design of the iPhone 4, (The Galaxy S also has a nice, sexy look) the bright high-res display on the Apple handset, (Samsung's phone features a Super AMOLED display) and the zippy home made processor in the new iPhone (the Galaxy S has a Samsung produced 1GHz Hummingbird processor under the hood). When designed, the 9.9 mm thin Samsung phone was thinner than the iPhone 3GS. But with the new iPhone 4 coming in at 9.33 mm, the Galaxy S appears slightly fat when compared to Apple's redesigned handset. While each of the top four U.S. carriers might end up with Samsung's Galaxy S, it appears  that T-Mobile will get the first crack at releasing the device. A well-trusted tipster for Tmo News has told them that the handset along with it's 4 inch display will be launched on July 21st. We will probably find out for sure when the Korean based carrier shows off the device in the Big, uh, Apple on June 29th.
