Samsung Galaxy S IV to introduce touchless gestures for screen navigation

0. phoneArena posted on 07 Feb 2013, 08:30

Remember the "floating touch" tech on the Sony Xperia sola, that lets you hover your finger over the screen and select links or pictures in websites without actually touching the display..?

Well, beating 9 months old phone with small margin makes you that proud of V? And GS4 is not even released yet, and you think Z will will beat it with just quad S4 pro? You are even worse than samboys.
GS2, 3 were top performer when released and there is no reason why this trend won't continue with GS4. They are probably laughing at Z in their lab right now.

Colors are matter of taste. Time will tell what sort of screens is better, A lot of people got bewitched by the awsome contrast and vibrant colors of samoled.

they are not vibrant, they're over saturated and thats because their black color is dominant while in LCDs white color is the dominant color and will give you a more vivid picture.

LAD you need a lesson to grow up. S3 is the industry's benchmark so dont get overhyped by the perfomance of 'your duos l and v' while they were intentionally tested before created to make sure they beat the benchmark....

I am a fan of technology not a brand. Android yard is my favorite yard. Sony, Sammy, Lg, HTC, Asus and Acer are all awsome knights of google's android, I will miss any of these companies if they fail and disappear from the market. Good luck to all of them, there is rapidly growing market big enough for all the brands and fans.

Nice if you could toggle this feature. My phone is hyper sensitive to touch (accepts input without screen contact), I usually want that off. Some apps/users work much better with physical touch.

The comments by the Sony guys is just hilarious. I don't claim any specific branding so my comments are unbiased. If one company can't make an idea function well, how is it "copying"? This is assuming the argument of Sony was first one and Samsung copied. So all vehicles today stole the idea from one and they should be sued??? That is the stupidest thing I've heard in forever.
These companies, aside from Apple, do what they can to produce a better product than the rest. It's win win for consumers.
Stop acting petty and buy what YOU like. Even if you buy apple, which I loathe, I can at least respect the decision. Before anyone cries, my personal opinion is Apple vs. everyone else in this market. Just an opinion.
Back on topic.... This feature on S4 is one I will be interested in following. Before long, I think most companies will have a stylus line. It just seems practical for some, that maybe wouldn't have bought otherwise.

To the brasilian crowd I say: be careful when buying the S4 and check the specifications. In Brasil the Samsung Galaxy S3 is sold with an inferior cpu, am ARM 7 instead of the ARM 9 of the international version. Of course you will only know this once you buy it and run an app that will tell you all the specs. By then the money is spent. And because the Samsung Brasil website will not tell you almost any specs at all you will remain in the dark wheather the brasilian Samsung Galaxy S3 has Gorilla Glass II or not ( many say it has Gorilla Glass I, Samsung Brasil says nothing at all in its site and the maker, Corning, wont tell you either (for them it is a big secret whom they sold which glass type).

S3 is using " ARM Cortex-A9" via ARMv7(32-bit).... there's no ARMv9 yet if that is what you are looking for. latest is ARMv8(64-bit)

What for the floating touch actually? U still need to touch your screen to click it. No wow factor, just slow your work only.
