With 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1, galaxy s3 is now out of the competition ! Spare battery ? What is that ? I have never owned an extra battery. Don't talk Non- sense ! I've got the latest Sense..

Well, with the latest Sense 4.1 update, it makes the One X just as fast as the GS3. But the GS3 will be getting Jelly Bean soon, so that will put it on top again slightly. But for how long, until the Jelly Bean update comes out for the One X? Either way; I chose the One X. The build quality on it is just unmatched, and with all the cracking problems with the GS3, I would definitely take the One X. I've never really had a problem with battery or memory for my phones, so a micro sd slot and removable battery aren't that important to me. I like Sense more than Touchwiz, even more so with Sense 4.1.

Everything that the GS3 had over the One X is just irrelevant now, to me at least. Sorry Sammy, maybe you should get a new designer.

I just dont understand y people r going for s3, s3 has bad sound quality, camera is poor , bt due to hd display , images captured by device looks gud, bt as u transfers the image on other device u wil clear see that how bad camera has gs3. On the other hand, htc one x, grt music, grt sound and grt performance and looks sexy.

for some poeple, sense is just too heavy & there's lag on it. camera, speaker quality and performance are pretty much the same on both phones, they have a quad core ARM A9 processor running around 1.5 GHz. s3's camera uses the same sensor on the iPhone 4s & even though i'm no fan of iPhone, the camera on that phone is still one of the bests.

if you really know about one x, you'll know that the camera tends to over saturated the color

The GS3 is a great multimedia device the HTC Evo not the ONE X is superior in the build quality and camera. The screen on either device is pretty much a toss up. I had the EVO LTE 4G and loved it until I started loading my own media files on it the stock media player would not work with certain media types. The GS3 could pretty much handle everything i threw at. The 2 gigs of ram make huge difference the GS3 just runs smoother because of it. In short: EVO better camera and build quality GS3 better overall media experience i.e. louder speaker, better media player. Removable battery was a not issue I work in an office so I am always next to a power supply if necessary.

Had the HTC One X for about a month, loved it, until the memory ran short. Traded it for the GS3, love it even better, sorry HTC.

Galaxy SIII all the way, due to the removable battery. I'm a heavy user and heavy game player and when I'm out and away from a charger, I always carry one or two spare batteries in my pocket, in case I get low on power Spare batteries are small light, and easy to carry I never understand why all manufactured don't make their phones with removable batteries.

Also, Galaxy SIII for the microSDXC card slot. I've got a 64gb card in mine, on top of the 32gb internal memory. And despite what some people say, there really is no such thing as too much memory and sorry, cloud storage sucks for movies, music etc. If rather have all my entertainment on my phone, not be dependent on a connection.

it's really a tough call, htc and samsung both has their strength and weaknesses in both phones. htc's SLCD 2 is just amazing, there's no distortion when tilting the phone and it feels really premium.

s3 on the other hand, is really compact and feels good in the hand for such a gigantic phone. the reason why s3 is a successful flagship phone is because touchwiz becomes an easier UI to use and there's a lot of software goodies in it.

both on stock UI, i'll choose s3. on custom ROM such as CM10, i'll choose one x

HTC One X all the way. The SG3 came out after the the One X so this very, very, VERY slight performance gap is expected and frankly not nearly as big as people would lead you to believe. I do not care if my internet browser opens up 0.6s faster on the SG3 or if I can physically pull out my battery (because I would never really need to). I believe that I it really comes down to user experience and the UI and the build quality of the HTC One is unmatched by the SG3's design. Touch Wiz still has design issues just as well as the actual design phone itself. The One X looks better, feels better and providers an overall more pleasing user experience in my opinion and deserves more recognition for its many strengths. The Samsung Galaxy line is becoming just as overrated as the iPhone.

features>>>>> design, thats why i would choose S3, never cared about how a phone looks while it still being powerful enough, better camera / sound? take a look at gsmarena or phone arena comparisson, One x just take oversaturated pics, (and you can change saturation in both cameras' settings), S3 have better battery, a lot better video recording quality, better compatibility with external hardware, sd slot means up to extra 64gb wich is pretty sweet and since never liked touchwiz/sense i wolud use third party launchers anyway

I've seen the gsm arena comparison. In fact that's how I know that the performance gap is so slight. There's an even smaller differences between the US versions of the phones which use very similar dual-core chip-sets. My point is that SG3 (which came out at least a month after the One X) is depending on things like photo saturation and 1080 video framerates to be crowned the "Best" which are minor details when it comes to the overall user experience of the device. The audio output difference is so light you need a machine to detect it. Specs and benchmark scores are nice and all but, they are not at all the most important thing when it comes to the users enjoyment when the phones in their hands. The only thing that I could say that the SG3 has an advantage on is memory but, even that is challenged by HTC with the free 25GB of Dropbox space you get for free from when you buy a One X. Listen, the SG3 is a wonderful device that's not the problem. The problem is that the One X should not be an after thought like it has been ever since the SG3 was soon to be released. The One X is device that is just as worthy as the SG3 to be considered the best phone on the market to date. The One X is just such a pleasure to use. It feels wonderful in your hand because of the soft matte finish on the solid one-piece poly-carbonate body and the Sense 4.1 UI is both beautiful and fast. Just as the first comment said these phone are "perfectly even". While I wouldn't say they "perfectly" even the results have no reason to stray very far from that but, I'm sure that probably won't happen because of the success of Samsung's marketing, slightly differing performance stats and sales numbers boosting SG3 votes. I mean, just look at the photo they used for this poll! It's the same one from the "Samsung vs. HTC: Why Samsung's winning the fight" article. There's a reason the SG3 is in the lead and I doubt very much that it's user experience.

SGS3, but only by a small margin. The S-LCD2 on the One X is glorious. I generally like AMOLED better, but the screen on the GS3 is far too dim for my liking, even with the brightness turned all the way up. However, I prefer Nature UX to Sense, and the SGS3 feels significantly better in the hand than the One X.

The brightness issue on the S3 is the main culprit in the devices improved battery life. Max Brightness on the S3 is 50% brightness on the One X; and Ive yet to run the One X (US Version) dry since updating to 4.0.4 and with the screen at a very bright and pleasant 50%.

No contest as far as I am concerned. The One X wins hands down for me, although there was nothing in it at face value but the awful build quality of the SGS3 drops it down the toilet for me. I have both and never had a problem with the One X and it is just so well built and feels premium. My cracked S3 was featured after a tip off to PA and my experiences real and expensive. Samsung could have saved its face by admitting QC issues and done the honest and fair thing and that is the worst crime. Great customer service can save your bacon and reputation sometimes!

Got the One X update to 4.0.4 plus Sense 4.1 today and the phone is now jaw droppingly fast. The battery is also now stellar!

Strange that most people who own both phones prefer the One X, or maybe not so strange. Whilst I would not say that other's comments are not relevant, I guess the comments from those who have owned or have used both handset, especially for an extended period of time, is just more relevant!

As I say, I own both and prefer the One X, especially after 4.0.4 and Sense.4.1.

My bro has the S3 and i have the One x there were some issues before the update, but after the sense 4.1 update u can clearely see the ui is much fluid than the S3 the battery life is just about the same they both are great phones.

But i am someone in my own class and i love having premium things in my posession the one x gave me that classy feeling. Look at the UI look at the whites look at the way u scrool to the end how the page splits this is just beautiful someone without taste wouldnt recognize that. In my opinion S3 ui just palin boring just as galaxy nexus stock android. One x is the best phone on the market and i have already said that. You guys favourite benchmark software "QUADRANT" has proven that, and please dont say "QUADRANT" dont mean anything becasue we all use it this is what that made galaxy s2 sold many units its performance the impressive score it gave to the world over HTC back then.

Perhaps PA should re-visit its review of the One X! Seems the people have spoken and prefer the One X overall, albeit by a small margin. This is the general consensus on these two beasts and in truth, I have always maintained that it is down to personal preferencebut if forced to choose, will always choose the One X.

I have both and since the update of the One X to 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1, my battery outlasts my S3. The LG Optimus 4X HD has a bigger battery and barely lasts a day!

In this part of the world (Hong Kong), it's pretty rare to spot an HTC. For Android phones, it's pretty much Samsung all the way, with S2, Note and S3.

First off it was unfair to compare s3 4.04 with HOX 4.03. Now that HOX now updated to 4.04 things got to be re examined. RAY S... RAY S

With Jelly Bean to HOX there will be a bigger lead samsung wont keep up.

Lol! Okay then will JB bring HOX better camera quality, longer, interchangeable battery, expandable memory and features like Smart Stay, Direct Call, etc? IF not, then go ahead, keep dreaming.

Also with leaked Sense 4.5 camera app, photos are much better. Currently, apps like smart stay are not useful, they suck your batt to much to use them every day. Samsung's marketing does miracles!

Well, what features does hox has to brag about anyway? And Smart Stay doesn't suck too much battery like what you assume, my friend. That feature is always active on my s3 and yet my phone last for more than 24 hours with moderate use. HOX can't last that long even without features like that cuz it's battery suck.
