Samsung Galaxy S III beats everything in graphics and browsing benchmarks, including the iPhone 4S PowerVR GPU

Now that is something you don't see everyday - we knew the Exynos 4412 will make for the most powerful phone out there from the preliminary benchies that were sent to us for the Samsung Galaxy S III, but a confirmation with the real deal is another thing...

Feeling a bit let down by Samsung.. I mean I was really expecting more. Kind of wish Samsung held back until August to release a true flagship device.

The benchmarks for the international version don't mean sh*t. Because the US version (which will not be out for at least 2 months) won't have Exynos. The S4 is decent. But can be found in several much cheaper phones, that are actually available now ! The least Samsung could have done, is put more ram & a non pentile HD (real /true HD) screen on the SG lll. Except for the S4, it doesn't really have much that my Nexus (which came out last year) don't have.

It may not be much of an upgrade from the SII or Nexus but for a Galaxy S owner (me :) ) it is quite the successor although I don't really like the design of the camera/LED/speaker cluster on the back :/

yeah, what people should remember is the GSII still matters. even though it's been succeeded doesn't mean SII owners should flock to buy this. this isn't for them.

I fully agree there, what most people don't realize is that this phone will be mostly for people upgrading from the original Samsung Galaxy S and similar phones due to the 2 years contract. For all those upgrades the difference is HUGE. The phone is nerly 4 times more powerful, better camera, etc.

I like Samsung, but I have to say what happened to their design department? This is meant to be a Flagship product yet it looks like a mid tier phone. Yes it's powerful and super fast but if I am going to spend hundreds of dollars on it I expect it to look the part. This looks like your standard Samsung plastic box. Using a Pentile screen is also unforgivable, so disappointed with Samsung.

Kudos to HTC for going outside their comfort zone and coming out with a fresh cool looking design in HTC One X.

I wonder if it can beat the new ipad, am I the only weirdo that thinks that aside from the non on screen keys the design is not half bad. Yeah the one X is completely beautiful but my bet this will be less likely to crack. Because it will be lightweight and resistant

Wish it had no physical buttons but overall the new features are quite awesome

So many people are hating on the s3. Every time a new phone comes out you people are always complaining. The s3 is the best android device thus far
You people are too greedy wanting the exynos chips to work with LTE. If you don't like that then don't buy it! And stop complaining!

The benchmark that tells us the real power of the gpu is the offscreen one: because galaxy s3's screen requires much more processing power than any other phone. This said, which are 4s's advantages now? Design?

Cores mean a lot if Samsung doesn't put some kind of quad core in this beast for the US version I will flippppppppp!!!!!! For crying out loud were in 2012 it's not the beginning of 2011. Any kind of dual core is so last year I don't care if it's S4 or if it has 2 ghz power.
